Sort of off topic... but I thought I read that adaptive headlights are not offered in 2024. Is that correct or am I imagining (again)? If so, it's another reason I'm glad I have a 2023...

I turned on Bambi mode, so lost the follow the corner adaptive lights, but like having the side of the road lit up that the fog lights give.

Actually as the lights are white not yellow, they should more aptly be called driving lights, not fog lights.

The glare-free lights are really nice to use. My only complaint with them is they turn off at slow speeds or stops signs.

I've noticed that the auto high beams are much more responsive and reactive since the recent updates. When I first got the truck in 2021, it seemed that I had to be the only vehicle on the road for them to work now the come on any time there isn't another set of lights directly in front of me.
My brain is still trying to figure out how that works. It's different from hitting the switch and seems like they just ease down and back up.

Sorry, I know this is an old post, but: Adaptive (Glare Free) technology has been removed from 2024+. Now only dynamic bending projectors are offered on Lariat and up (no Tremor now:mad:). It appears Ford was anticipating NHTSA approval, but like with most safety related issues, this body is still stuck in the medieval era, which is why only Canadian destined trucks had it enabled by default (US customers had to use a Forscan mod). Now even that option is no longer available. This article makes more sense of it:
https://www.cnn.com/2024/02/15/cars...2022,regulations for adaptive beam headlights.

To be clear, are you saying that the '24 and '25 model years will not be able to perform this mod through FORScan, or are are you saying that the FORScan mod can no longer be made with all '21+ model years?

my understanding is the hardware is no longer present. And from Ford’s perspective, why should they continue to include it when there is no timeline from the NHTSA? So the projector headlights now only have a dynamic bending feature, which is basically left to right cornering shift, Which, of course, the previous unmodded Adaptive headlights were able to do without the forscan hack.

That article is the best description of what the technology accomplishes and why it's ridiculous that Ford wasted $millions on including it in 2,000,000 F150s.

And why they would remove it from new headlights for American vehicles until it's NOT a waste of money.

I have the anti-glare headlight feature on my 2024 Lariat 502A truck, which is a Canadian build. I also had it on my 21 F150 and it's really cool to watch the tech in action. For those that are unaware, it keeps your highbeams on ahead of you but turns off the section aimed at oncoming traffic, once the car passes, the full spectrum turns on again.

Note also, that when following a vehicle the dimming of the high beams through anti glare is also active. And, as an aside; I can think of only one time has an approaching vehicle ever flashed their high beams due to the lights.

That would at least imply that Ford is putting different hardware in the Canadian trucks?

I would be sceptical of that until someone can confirm that the trucks truly come off the Dearborn/Kansas assembly line with different headlights.

Maybe we just haven't figured out the Asbuilt keys yet?

I believe all Canadian trucks come with block heaters and the US flag emblem on the dash end caps are replaced without the flag. Not much but they have to put these things on the line and get them installed for Canadian builds . Good point though on the headlights.

Can you share your as built data so we can see if we can figure out how to enable it on US models?

The block heaters are an extra when building Canadian trucks as well. I didn't opt for it as I haven't had to plug a vehicle in forever and live in BC so didn't see the need.
