I only drive my '23 Lariat once a week for a short trip (work from home and have company vehicle) and noticed the other morning when I cranked it up in the garage before the sun was up, that the headlights didn't dance as usual nor did they move when backing out to turn around or cornering while driving or turning onto a side street.

This was the first time I've driven it since I did the last update which was earlier this month. I went into the "Settings" "Vehicle" "Lighting" and do not see the Adaptive Headlamp button to slide as was previously there and when bought new.

Has anyone else ran into this issue? If so, did the update cause it to disappear from the option to choose on/off? If so, do I have to turn the feature back on with ForScan?

I enjoyed the feature during dark hours of driving when cornering.

Thanks for any input.

Which update?
From what I've looked up using my VIN, it shows version 4.0.23291. I have another update pending per what I see when cranking it up.

The auto leveling should have taken place even without Adaptive Headlights.

Have you checked for soft codes?
Yep, auto leveling dance floor isn't happening.

Soft codes, not sure how to check this or even what this is. Just a shade tree mechanic trying to learn all this technology is tough!

Sorry.
Soft codes might not be the right terminology, but it would be any codes that are recorded, but there is no notification to the driver on the instrument cluster that anything is wrong.

You have Forscan.
Forscan can read all codes, including "soft" ones. Just curious if your HCM module is triggering any codes.

Make sure you have it in "automatic" mode on the headlight switch - the one with the picture of a light bulb with a "A" in the middle. It should work ... adaptive does not work in just the simple "on/off" mode.

Did you ever figure this out? I actually just noticed (well my kids noticed) since they are fascinated with the startup dance and for the last week the truck hasnt done it. Light switch is on auto as its never touched and no updates since April.
