Okay you experts, I tried putting in glare free and am getting the "check headlamp" error. My menu under lighting indicates glare free and I have the green auto headlamp icon. The lights go through their Calibration.
The lights no longer turn with the wheel. I have a 5.0 KR MY22 5' 5" bed. I thought I followed all the coding correctly, the only thing throwing me off was the very last one. The box that is D1-- What does that mean? I have to have 4 alpha-numeric characters in that box when writing the edits. It was originally "A1D1". Any help is appreciated. I wrote in "D1D1" as a guess, lol.

this is what i used, straight from livin it ups spreadsheet last year.

Here are the changes required for Glare Free headlights. There are multiple modules that need to be changed so it’s not the easiest mod.
Glare Free Menu (replaces Auto High beam) in APIM:

APIM
7D0-09-01 x1xx xxxx
7D0-09-03 xxCx xxxx
Note: a module reset in FORScan or power cycle is required for the menu to appear.
IPMA
706-01-01 xxxx xxx9
SCCM
724-04-01 xxx4 xxxx
IPC
720-01-01 xx8x xxxx
720-10-01 xxxx xxx3
HCM
734-01-01 xxxx xx01
734-01-02 x3xx xxxx

Perform one of the below in HCM depending on the specs of your truck:
Short bed No onboard scales / ccd
734-01-04 xx53 4E
Short bed with scales / ccd or Raptor
734-01-04 xx56 D1
Long bed no scales / ccd
734-01-04 xxD9 88
Long bed with scales / ccd
734-01-04 xxDC 17

Wondering if anyone has experienced the glare free lights not activating? Meaning the lights are set to glare free in the IPC and just stay on low beam and do not change to high beam even when going Hwy speeds (above 33 / 34mph). When this happens, I have to manually trigger the high beams. Conditions are pitch dark country roads so it's not as though something is preventing them from going to high beam.

It seems after ahwile (sometimes 30mins into my drive), all of a sudden they will start operating as normal after manually triggering the high beams a few times and cycling back to glare free. I have had this happen a handful of times and curious of others have experienced anything similar? This is one of my favorite features, so certainly bummed when it doesn't work as intended.

I have not experienced the inconsistency.
I return home in the pitch black 2.5 mile dead end road that leads to my property. The perfect environment for the technology.
I always enjoy watching it engage the instant I hit 33mph.

That's very odd. I wonder if you have any soft codes during the failure?

Thanks, Snake. Haven't checked for any codes but will fire-up Forscan this weekend to see of there are any correlations.

That's exactly what I used. Made all the changes (wrote changes for each module) then when all were written I power cycled the truck. The one that threw me off was the very last one. I have 4 characters but his sheet only indicates D1 for the short bed with scales for the last box. I put only "D1" I. The last box but it wouldn't let me keep just 2 characters in that box.

Do you have 56 preceding the D1?

I'll check, but that would be the last two characters in the first box. I had "A1D1" in the second box. The instructions only indicate "D1" but it won't let me do that.

I could be wrong but I think it's saying leave everything as it is, but make sure you have xx56 D1xx

I think they just didn't put all the x's like I'm used to?

Roger. I'll give it a look tomorrow. I do think I ended up typing "D1D1". Maybe I'm missing something else. I'll update after I look tomorrow! Hoping it's just a fat finger!

i have found on occasion that i flicked the stalk and it resets the glare free back to user select high beams. once you cycle the stalk back to auto, it should work as advertised.

i have manually put them in bright on slow streets to make sure i can see the critters, where as the truck would not select glare free due to light and slow speed. then i forget to recycle the stalk back to auto

if it helps

Okay, so I'm just a little dense. I did not have the "56" put in. Once I changed that I did not get the check headlamp message. It's daytime, so I'll have o see how things go tonight. But at least this is promising.

And we're good! So much better than those straight auto brights! Thanks all for helping me get out of my own way, haha!
