Interesting. That implies that the sensor Ford uses isn't just a matter of lumens, but also a spectrum.

Yeah my auto headlights come on in my garage and I have those big spider looking triple panel LED lights in 3 spots above my truck. Plus the walls and celling are finished and painted white.

How do you know you have a job 2 2022? Just curious. I remember there being a date cutoff but I don’t remember what it was.

Job 2 is around end of March. BAP that I have was mostly in job 2 and removal active park assist required for job 2 which I had to take. Mine was built may 4th so definitely a job 2

I have an April 11 build 2022
I thought it was Job1 for some reason, but I don't know what made me believe so.

I might dive into the Forscan edits and see if it has the necessary hardware support.

The one and only delete my order had was Park Assist. But even that is strange since I have all 6 front bumper sensors.

I am picking up my 22 502A tomorrow and this is one of the mods I will want to try. It was a dealer stock order with a blend date from January and was on a chip hold since then. It does not show any deletes on the window sticker so I think I should be ok. Hopefully they didn't cannibalize chip hold trucks for parts they didn't need???

Mine is a 22 502A with January build that was on chip hold until the beginning of June. There were no deleted items and glare free works. I think that's why a lot of these trucks were held so long. They had the physical hardware for a lot of these features present already and there was no expedient choice but to wait on a dwindling supply of the appropriate chips to get them ready to ship.

So a Job 1 2021 Platinum short bed should be as easy as just keying in the Forscan changes and then bingo? I like the sound of it!

My truck was blended the last day in March 22 and it’s a job 1 that I have glare free fully active on so I dunno about that. April and May possibly.

Yours is built after mine so if I don’t have it (haven’t confirmed yet) I highly doubt yours will lol. No one seems to know where to look if the hardware is there or the difference from headlights. I’m wondering since if I have the BAP headlights that those never got the glare free hardware to begin with would be my guess. The unknown still exists

Are you saying BAP headlights never got glare free? I assume the only way to know is someone from Canada with a BAP from '22 Job 1 can tell us if they have it or not (since it was enabled there). What about the Tremor Headlights? I always assumed, but have not been able to verify yet, that they are the same as the BAP ones.

This might change my decision to look for Tremor/BAP headlights (I also have not confirmed, but believe the BAP headlights also have the black surround instead of the chrome/metal).

i'm just guessing on that. i have no way to confirm it. It would be sweet if the BAP headlights kept the hardware and the non-BAP removed it. one can only hope

Unless you have a Canadian truck, you don’t.

In order to get them, you have to follow the instructions in this thread to activate them. The big question is whether or not your truck actually has the hardware to enable them. Since it was built in May, it might not. That’s what we are trying to figure out.

I would probably start by seeing if Forscan even finds all the modules that require the changes.
