Raising no income tax below 100k (strictly limited to US citizens) combined with the possibility of 72hr work weeks especially when backed by tariff 'incentivized/insured" buildout would see an entirely new class of upward mobility. BUT, it must be backed 100% by e-verify. All other labor not backed by e-verify or visa based income is taxed at current levels. Child tax credit also only applicable to US citizen HoH.

No tax on tips/OT is misguided as it simply creates a tax loophole for many to aspire towards.
If you think the current tax credit is any incentive for folks to have kids… I want what you are smoking.

Add in 6 day work weeks with 12 hour days, exactly who in the hell is going to raise the kids? The wolves?

People without insurance get astronomical bills from the hospital. The issue is that these bills are starting positions in an "unstoppable force meets immovable object" fights with insurance companies, not an actual bill or invoice like you'd expect if you bought, say, a hamburger or a set of tires. Consumers who don't know that they can negotiate, and indeed are mostly expected to do so, are absolutely dumbfounded by the audacity and unreasonableness of these numbers.

All of what Trump says and much of what he does falls into this category: posturing that doesn't reflect his end goal. I have a lot of complex feelings about the guy, and this is a truck forum not a political dogfight, but my simple take is that listening to Trump or focusing upon his opening moves is a bit like the uninsured and uninformed consumer who pays a hospital bill rather than seeing through the posturing. I don't like the tactic and I don't use it myself, but it can be used to great effect in the hands of a skillful (and possibly less principled) negotiator.

Which makes more $, 2 40hr workers or 1 72hr worker (hint, they're at parity at 66.7hrs)? Child tax credit should drop to 2k single / 5k married in same household but diminishes above certain thresholds.

But you're nuking the whole acceleration argument then.

As I business I get 80 hours of work for $4000 we'll say.
OR
I get 72 hours of work (god knows how much of it just absolute garbage) for $4400....

The math isn't mathing.

Are you taking into account permitting time, time to upgrade infrastructure, planning, review and changes to architecture plans, bidding, and time to get critical parts for electrical, building steel, plumbing, etc, ordered, built and delivered?
No, he is not.

I spent my working life, in site development.

Even a minor project, with fully approved engineered plans, funding and all permits in place, takes longer than 10 months. Its a ridiculous claim.

Need a bunch of Nat gas, or electricity? Need to build the trunk lines and acquiring rights of way, happens before any of that. Building on something other than flat sand? How many millions of cubic yards has anyone else put in place?

Just putting in water, sewer, electricity and roads, can take a while and we haven't broken ground on the building yet. A week of rain, shoots another down the calendar. Ingress and egress points with public roads etc. etc.

10 months, in an already established industrial park, could happen but not from scratch.

Everyone fancies themselves a builder, until they have to actually do it.:)

When due process is denied to non citizens, it is a big step toward authoritarianism. It denies due process to citizens too and that is how people "disappear". As a government all I have to do is grab you in the middle of the night under the guise of me claiming you are not a citizen. Even though you may be. However since I say you are a non citizen you have no due process to prove that you are a citizen. No phone calls, no lawyers, no acknowledgement that we took you, nothing.

In 2014 and 2022 two major comprehensive immigration reform bills were presented to the senate. The first one in 2014 passed the senate with 69 votes. It then went to the House where they would not even bring it for a vote because they knew it would pass and a certain party is not interested in killing the goose laying the golden eggs. A similar thing happened in 2022. A certian orange person was not interested in actually helping reform this issue when they can continue to milk it for all it is worth.

Both bills would have added hundreds of immigration judges with the goal of giving people seeking asylum immediate due process so they can either be deemed to be legitimate immigrants or not and deported immediately. Sounds good unless of course if you really do not want to solve the issue for nefarious reasons.
There is no due process afforded to foreign terrorists. The Executive has designated MS13 and TDA, and cartel members foreign terrorists. Which they are.

The 2022 bill you mentioned allowed up to 7K illegals a day to come in before Biden "had the option" to close the border. Let me do the math for you, since you didnt bother. Thats over 2.5 million per year!!!

The immigration judges would just open up the spigot of illegals. Its the exact opposite of what should happen. Its just like his "inflation reduction act". It does the exact opposite as claimed.

Biden claimed he needed the bill in order to address the border. Trump crushed illegal immigration by 97% in his first 60 days. No bill needed

This isnt even up for debate. Of course, If you want to , we can. You will get wiped up cleanly
