XLT - potential tail light issue?

Hey guys - I’ve been admiring my other F-150 brethren out there and I’ve noticed that the majority of the same year trucks - even same trims, seem to have very slick LED daytime running tail lights on the outer contour of the light housing.

My truck doesn’t have these lit when driving (see below pic). Anyone know what’s up? Is it my trim package/build?

I’ve also attached a stock picture of how the lit tail light looks (daytime pic)…

My primary specs:

2021 Ford F-150 XLT
Lead Foot
3.5L V6
Quad beam LED package
302 High A
Sport appearance package

I didn't think XLT could get LED tail lights, only LED reflector headlights. I believe that rear LED marker light is only for LED tails. So, only Lariat and up trims.

XLT does not have the option for LED taillights. It’s beyond ridiculous. You gotta step up to Lariat. But….I just ordered a set from BoostedGreygoose. So you can make the modification.

Those rings do not light up like the ones on the full LED version on Lariat and up. My suggestion is some cheap LED bulbs from amazon and forscan to stop the hyperflash, all in all less than $50 and I've had no problems.

Thanks guys. Good ideas and man, ridiculous is right. Why would I get the quad beam headlights and halogen tail lights?! Come on Ford…
