800 miles to empty

We made a trip to Salt Lake and their gas down here is really potent! It’s showing 810 miles until empty. This tank should last me a long time!?

That 22.7 mpg was from the gas station to the hotel. I guess all the calculations depend on when you hit the reset button. It usually shows around 625 when I fill it up!

I'll get 700-750 out of my PB with a 30.6, this is pretty spot on.

I filled my 5.0 up on Saturday.
Usually DTE shows about 712 (reset at every fill up)
Saturday morning showed 744.
I don’t normally run the tank below a 1/4 and fill up every other weekend, whether it needs it or not.

I don't know exactly what the algorithm for DTE is, but I can be driving rather spirited just before filling up and get a Miles to empty of say..... 625
Then leave the gas station driving calmly and watch the Miles to empty increase over the next couple of days commute.
2 days after filling up and it's back to 625. ?

Obviously it's similar to navigation routing? If you miss a turn, it recalculates.
It's kinda fun to mess with the onboard intelligence.

WOW! I’m super lucky if I can hit 20MPG for a tank of gas in my ‘21 PB. Always hoping I’ll get 700 miles on a tank, but never happened yet. Too many elevation changes on my trips and 80MPH limits I suppose.

One fill up I had it said DTE was ~450 miles. 300 miles later it was still ~270. ?‍
