Any light at the end of the tunnel?Chip hold for sure....
Zero communication from Ford other than microchip holdAny light at the end of the tunnel?
So ford offered to ship trucks without the auto start/stop module but powerboost requires it. My guess would be that's it or at least part of the problem.Contacted my dealer for the first time in a few weeks today, and they confirmed I'm on a chip hold, as I already knew. I've gotten a little burnt out over it all lately and haven't been following along as close, but did we decide these are specifically Powerboost trucks getting held up by microchips?
All indications is the ETA is a computer-generated date based on previous year build/delivery times. ETAs are rough estimates and clearly do not consider a death of factors (ex. part shortages, plant shutdowns, chip holds, driver shortages)What's frustrating is my ETA delivery date was changed on 8/23 from 8/25 to 9/25. Then changed on 9/1 from 9/25 to 9/14. There is no indication that this truck has shipped and I don't see how it could possible be delivered by Tuesday. So why back the ETA date up? Why didn't they just leave it at 9/25? I kind of wish they would just put that 10/31 date on there and stop getting my hopes up.
You mean all trucks that have been on chip hold get finished by end of this month?Mine was supposed to be delivered on the 6th, but is on a chip hold. My dealer confirmed it was built but is on a chip hold. He said they received an email that Ford's goal is to push out all trucks on Chip Hold this month. Anyone else hear that?
When I was at the dealer locking in the rate, I was also told chip hold trucks sitting around should be a thing of the past by end of october so here's to hoping thats actually trueYou mean all trucks that have been on chip hold get finished by end of this month?
I doubt the dealers know a whole lot more than we do.When I was at the dealer locking in the rate, I was also told chip hold trucks sitting around should be a thing of the past by end of october so here's to hoping thats actually true
I think that is pure speculation on their end and a whole lot of wishful thinking. I mean, I doubt they will be making 2021 trucks much longer before they switch to 2022... So maybe he is right, 2021 trucks sitting around won't be a thing much longer because they are not making them anymore...When I was at the dealer locking in the rate, I was also told chip hold trucks sitting around should be a thing of the past by end of october so here's to hoping thats actually true
If I am on Chip Hold at the end of Sept I am going to order a 2022 and walk away from this truck.I think that is pure speculation on their end and a whole lot of wishful thinking. But yes, since I got slapped with the chip hold, I have lost probably 60% of my interest. Instead of being excited, I am on the fence, and even contemplating abandoning the F150 all together and sourcing a Ram Power Wagon.
I was scrolling thru later build week threads and seen a few of those trucks are in transit already, at least one of them was a Lariat powerboost, very similar to my build.Any movement at all on any of our trucks? Been a quiet week with Dearborn operating @33% and KC 0%.
