How long has it been since the VIN was assigned? It could take a week or two for it to hit their database.

I'd try it again in a week or two to see if it's updated and in there. There's a few other sites out there that can decode the VIN but this one is is free and the easiest to use.

Thanks. There is also a link for window sticker in the Ford order tracking. I'd assume that once it's available it would be available there first. But who knows.

Won't see a window sticker until like 9/27-ish if its scheduled for oct 3 assuming that holds which by now I don't think they have many other places to move you.

You don't get a window sticker because you have a vin, its part of the moving into production process

Thanks @JerryLZ that's in line with what I had read elsewhere as well.

The order tracker on this site pulled my vin three days before the Ford tracker.

My order was accepted 4/22. I got my VIN about a month later. It took months to get the window sticker. Maybe mid 8/22. Anyhow, keep on the dealer to get a definitive answer. Try calling CS and see if they can confirm your order change. If worse comes to worse, I would pass if your truck won't have the nuclear power station. Your call.

(I'm still waiting for my truck)

The 7.2kw inverter part is not currently available / back ordered. There's been a couple instances of this occurring. Lightnings platinum trim lost their uber deluxe massaging seats back in july for the same reason.... but ya know, it's okay because ford refunded ~$350 by deleting that platinum only feature that'd probably cost up to $2k to retrofit.

First I've heard that Ford would or is downgrading a 7.2KW order to 2.4KW

I'm skeptical. Or at least I would need at least one person to post that this has happened. Also, it would be Ford stating such themselves.

Unless I am misunderstanding the OP, the decision to change was in the other direction, AND was initiated by the customer, AND was after the order was submitted. That's always seemed like a scary proposition to me, especially in these times. Anything that might alter the normal work flow of the ordering/build process feels risky.

I ordered April 12th. Added the 7.2 to the order on April 27th. I changed from black to Carbonized Grey on June 27th.
Checked my order tracking and the colour is correct but the ProPower is incorrect
I'm going in circles with Ford chat/customer service telling me that I need to contact the dealer and the dealer telling me they cannot make the change in their system. As of yesterday I tweeted Ford. They've reached out to me in a DM and I've given them ALL the pertinent I formation I could and was told they would be looking into how to help me but haven't heard back since Noon EST yesterday.

I'm pulling for you, so don't get me wrong. :)

But I don't have a ton of faith in the automation of the ordering system being very accommodating of human intervention. And you are literally witnessing why. It invites finger-pointing.

Worst case scenario, if it arrives and it's not what you want, you are NOT stuck with it.

Was on Ford.com last night just doing a what if build and the 7.5kW was there and it was cheaper than the 2.4kW, I just looked today and it is gone.

Has anyone else had the 7.2kw ProPower removed from their order?
I got my VIN a couple of weeks ago and when I checked my order online it said 2.4kw ProPower.
I had originally ordered it back in mid april with 2.4kw, but I changed it a couple of weeks following, along with a colour change. The colour is changed correctly but the website shows 2.4kw.
I contacted my dealer who was unaware of any changes. They sent me a photo of their updated order confirmation they received after making the change, which clearly showed that 7.2kw was added... They're checking with Ford but they haven't been able to speak with anyone at Ford yet, but did confirm that when they look in the system it shows 2.4kw and now 7.2kw.
I'm concerned that now that the VIN has been issued that I'm SOL.
ETA for the truck is October 17th, so it hasn't entered any production or anything yet, but would REALLY like to get this sorted out if possible.
My Dealership was thinking there may be a shortage of parts for the 7.2kw but I haven't been able to find anything online yet in my search to say this has happened to others. Are there others out there who experienced the same issue?
I’m assuming you’re in Canada by the way you’re spelling “color” lol. I wonder if that has anything to do with it? Btw I also agree that you’ve gotta get the 7.2! I hope you get your truck soon. I’m loving mine. It really is an amazing vehicle. So far getting almost 26mpg!
