Has anyone else had the 7.2kw ProPower removed from their order?
I got my VIN a couple of weeks ago and when I checked my order online it said 2.4kw ProPower.
I had originally ordered it back in mid april with 2.4kw, but I changed it a couple of weeks following, along with a colour change. The colour is changed correctly but the website shows 2.4kw.
I contacted my dealer who was unaware of any changes. They sent me a photo of their updated order confirmation they received after making the change, which clearly showed that 7.2kw was added... They're checking with Ford but they haven't been able to speak with anyone at Ford yet, but did confirm that when they look in the system it shows 2.4kw and now 7.2kw.
I'm concerned that now that the VIN has been issued that I'm SOL.
ETA for the truck is October 17th, so it hasn't entered any production or anything yet, but would REALLY like to get this sorted out if possible.
My Dealership was thinking there may be a shortage of parts for the 7.2kw but I haven't been able to find anything online yet in my search to say this has happened to others. Are there others out there who experienced the same issue?

IMHO to not get the 7.2k with the PB is a waste of hybrid technology. Stick to your guns and get that 7.2k even if means reordering. Good luck with this.

That’s very unusual. Could you share the options section of your window sticker?

I don't have a window sticker yet. But I've attached a screenshot of my vehicle tracking.

I would say the little pre-sticker online summary isn’t always comprehensive—mine was missing several options—BUT the fact that it’s not showing in your dealer’s system too is concerning.

Below is the printout from the dealer after I asked them to make the change to 7.2kw.
Note this was before I asked for the change from Agate Black to Carbonized Gray.
No other changes were made.

I wasn't too concerned, as I thought maybe something wasn't jiving, but my dealer confirmed this morning that it is showing as 2.4 in their system as well.

If the 7.2Kw on my order had been changed by anyone, I'd have dropped that order faster than dropping a hot baked potato.

This is your dealer screw up. Not Fords.

I would tell them to add it, or you will go elsewhere.

Unless you have a VIN, then go elswhere.

Don't see how this is the dealer screw up. This is Ford's screw up. My dealer made the change and provided the proof of change. Not sure what happened on Ford's end.

Truck is schedule for build week of October 3rd, if they're not able to make this right before then then I have no other choice but to cancel.

While I can’t dispute getting what you ordered and paid for vs what they are actually building. That would get my hair standing on end as well.
What I do want to say though is that the 2.4 is totally worth having the hybrid, depending on your needs. I bought my PB off the lot so I had to settle for what it came with, which is the 2.4. For me personally this has fit my needs perfectly. I can power small appliances for camping, and more importantly I have a mobile work station. I can power any of my power tools, including table saws and compound miters, along with being able to keep all Of my cordless tools charged.
My point is that not getting the 7.2 is not all doom and gloom. Of course if you’re looking to power your house or a big RV this won’t cut it, but for many other uses, it’s been a little work horse. I’ve had my share of issues with the truck but the pro power is not one of them.

It sounds like you made the 7.2KW change, then a paint color change later. Are you sure someone at the dealer didn't uncheck the 7.2KW option when changing the paint color?

Obviously I can't be entirely sure this isn't the case as I was not watching over their shoulder when it was completed.

Anyways, no one has replied yet that they've had theirs removed for unknown reasons, so it seems as though there are only two possibilities.

1) The dealer messed up and unchecked it when they changed the colour.
2) Ford for some reason made the change.

I logged onto Ford chat and inquired, but unfortunately they don't have access to any additional information than what I see online. They recommended I contact the dealer and have the dealer speak with their "Dealer Experience Specialist", that they may be able to have the order changed if it is in fact incorrect.

Go here and put in the VIN once you have it you will see the window sticker. This will show you everything on the truck.
