But there is a replacement for displacement. Ask the SC'd. Coyote guys. ??
And yet a supercharged 6.0 DOHC would make even more. No replacement for displacement, just ask the Raptor R! The 5.0 outguns larger engines, but that is because of the extra technology in the Coyote. You could do the same to a larger engine and make even more.

I would be first in line for a 5.0 hybrid. I like V8’s and I like EV’s. I would certainly own both combined into one, I’d be happy as a clam with a big cube hybrid :)

There's no substitute for cubic inches!

Lol.... V8 is safe, proven and long lasting... (and that last point is the killer)...

I’ve owned (3) 3.5EBs and currently have the 5.0 w/ 3.73. When I was looking for my 23’ I couldn’t decide either, until…
I remembered why I needed it…. oh yeah, cam phaser reliability.
Done deal, 5.0L

I had a 2014 3.5EB with a 5star 91 race tune and I still feel like my '21 5.0 is faster without any tuning.

Doesn't flooring it override ECO mode? In other words, when you fully open the throttle you get maximum power and shift points. It seems this would be the case but I have not tested it.
I'd say "kinda sorta overrides". ECO mode seems to delay/slow the throttle response. So you press the pedal a bit more than in Normal for the same throttle response and also seems to shift to a higher gear sooner (and Sport appears to be even more sensitive and keep it in a lower gear by comparison).
So when I floor it in Eco, it feels like only a short delayed response, then the trans/throttle responds accordingly.
I keep it in ECO out of habit and because I don't need ~400hp on-the-ready as I cruise thru 30mph speed limit streets, lol. It appears to help mileage a bit vs Normal, but hard to confirm given all the other variables.

The answer is always V8.

I have a 22 5.0 w/3.73. I have had eco's in the past. I prefer the v8 and will never go back to v6.

If they stop offering the 5.0 in F150's, I will go F250 with the 7.2.

If I lived at altitude again, I'd only own FI (Forced Induction) engines because that 35% hit to power in a NA engine, quite frankly sucks.

Okay, so now that you've gotten three pages worth of responses, it looks like it's best that you simply flip a coin..
By the way, I have the 5.0 and couldn't be happier. I'm just not a big fan of the cylinder deactivation feature which is resolved by driving in sport mode.

Good luck!
