5.0 and Black Package causing delays

Ordered my 2023MY back in July and have been waiting for some sort of status change. As of today the dealer emailed me saying that the 5.0 and black package are causing production delays for my build and that it will still probably be months before being even considered for production. I wanted to take a trip in August but now seems like those plans are changing. Anyone else experiencing similar delays?

Same here. Ordered mine in October and haven’t heard anything. Carbonized Gray Platinum 5.0 BAP, no sunroof.

This seem questionable to me. I ordered my Platinum 5.0 BAP on 11/15 and I received it at Granger Mid-February. Maybe it's a certain option or something but a lot of people are getting their BAP/5.0 trucks.

Strange, I don't think we'll ever understand why these delays happen, cause evidence would suggest that it isn't 5.0L for sure, maybe something with BAP, but...I think only the wheels would be different....Buddy ordered a Tremor with 5.0L in Feb, just shipped yesterday...

The tremor has the BAP hood, exhaust dark emblems....and he got the 5.0L so I unless it's the wheels I don't know what else would be causing your delays...

Dealer allocation would be my best guess. I ordered my XLT 5.0 BAP at the end of October and picked it up earlier this month from a high volume dealership.

Just to be clear, I ordered mine from Granger in October 22’ and still haven’t heard anything.

Gotcha and that is certainly odd. I recall reading recently that nothing with power tailgates were being built the last few weeks. Maybe that is contrubiting to the issue? Have you contacted them regarding your order?

Order from a different dealership if a deposit is not required and you may get lucky and get scheduled right away. This has happened to some people.

I reached out to Chip and he said he wasn’t sure what the hold up was. He said platinums were taking around 7-8 months.

I don't want this to come as a surprise, but ford does prioritize higher trim vehicles....

It's not a first come first serve basis unless of course you ordered a higher trim. Why do you think there was ~12% or so of lightnings built as pro models whereas there's loads of lariats and platinums. Those day 1 pro guys are still in the Q

Just as an FYI. I changed my order this week and got scheduled immediately. After waiting 6 months with the 5.0, BAP, and 3.31 gears, switching to 3.73 gears was able to get scheduled right away. Seems like there may be an issue with the BAP and 3.31 gears.

I do have the 3.31 gears but from my understanding from another member's post, the current build constraints for me are the power tailgate and moon roof. I made this post on previous information received from the dealer but that seems to not be so accurate. Currently those build constraints extend to the 5/8 build week. So far every about every Tuesday they have been posting updated constraints so my hope is that they resolve the issue soon else I may have to look for something on the lot and settle by August.

I ordered a platinum, so I have the power tailgate and it didn’t hold my order back from being scheduled. Although, I did remove the sunroof. You may try switching your gears to see if that will help you get scheduled quicker.

Okay well maybe I'll have to give it a shot, the guy I ordered my truck from doesn't work on Saturdays so I'll have to wait till Monday, may I ask what build week they assigned you?
