Yours is not a 2024 though. The 2024s have a face lift.
Yes you are right, but a face lift does not necessarily involve an engine change. Any ways, not worth arguing on.

Be nice if someone from Ford would chime in and give us some clarification as why on the build & price website, the order guide, and on the preliminary specifications it is all listed as E85 compatible but in the owners manual the flex fuel section has mysteriously disappeared from last year to this year.

Yea it would.. I just reached out to my dealer (by text) and they do NOT see Flex Fuel specified on my order, and they don't believe my truck will be a FFV. That SUCKS.

For the guys who have boosted 2021-2023 trucks, do you know where the ethanol sensor is located?

It’s advertised in many spots so if it’s not this will be some kind of a lawsuit for Ford I can guarantee that.

All websites say not guaranteed to be accurate.

Everyone thinks anything that ticks them off is a lawsuit these days. Jesus.

5.0 is 420 horsepower on E-85 stock so it’s worth 20 horsepower or so. The ECU advances/runs more aggressive ignition timing as ethanol is more resistant to detonation. An aftermarket tune can pull even more power out.
Stock is rated 410 on 21 and up, no?
Will not notice 10hp increace. Whats that 5hp at the wheel?

Not worth the $$$

Why is everyone so quick to knock E85? It's usually people who have no experience. Why is it, that lack of experience makes people experts?? In a supercharged application, you could see as much as 80-100WHP just from switching from 93 to a full tank of E85.

Absolutely worth it, especially when its FREE!

You absolutely can feel the power increase. Ran 91 all winter, started on 2nd tank of E85. Can for sure feel the added power E85 makes.

I’m not saying I’m suing them but I am saying that it is documented in places other than on websites and if people are buying it specifically for that purpose only to find out after they purchase it that it can’t do that I can definitely see some kind of class action lawsuit because of that.

Is it even worth it to use flex fuel? What you save on gas you lose in fuel economy, and then some even.
Depending on where you're at E85 is actually cheaper to use than regular fuel even with the mileage loss. Here in the midwest its almost always $1 - $1.20 cheaper than regular, pair that with the noticeable performance gains its a no brainer. Also the sweet smell coming out of the tail pipe is nice too!

E85 is cheap here. It doesn't save you money over 87 octane but as cheap as e85 is, 92 octane is about $1 more per gallon over even 87.

It's a very unfortunate change if that's the case. I've considered getting a RCSB and this would make it a lot less appealing. The idea of getting as much out of it as I could, stock, was a selling point.

I heard there is a possibility of a epa regulated gas particulate filter being installed on the 5.0 for 2024.

I don’t think so for the 14th gen refresh but soon pretty much all DI engines will have GPF. I would think the 3.5 EB would require this first. GPF is for particulates, the 5.0’s DI system is newer and runs at a higher bar pressure than the EcoBoost so it should be a bit cleaner. My very anectodal comparison of tailpipes leads me to believe the 3.5 is much more sooty than the 5.0, 3.5 tailpipes are usually pretty black. Either way, I don’t think a particulate filter is something to worry about.

Yea, I agree. One more negative (if its true for all 24s). I do like the new standard screens and 3:73s, but not crazy about the face lift. I personally would have paid more for a better trim in the RSCB. The truck offers a "total package" as far as performance. The engine/trans/drivetrain is boost ready, and having flex fuel is very important part of the package. Ethanol adds a huge safety margin. Add in the fact that these ECUs might not be accessible for a long time, it makes them less desirable.

I'm back to loving the 2023s.
