Figured I would share my first 3000 km assesment of my 2021 F150 5.0 with 3.31 gears , XLT 302A.

Fuel Milage : City 13.5L to 14L per 100 Kms normal driving.
Highway: 10.8 L per 100 KMs average.

Towing : 5000 LBs through various terrain and grades, 24.5 Liters per 100 KMs average.

For those who are unsure of gear ratio towing, the 3.31 did perfectly fine towing, i only tow 4 to 5 times a year. Saving about 20 bucks a tank in the city with the 3.31 and the fuel milage is basically the same as my old 2019 5.0 with a 3.73 when towing.

Probably if you tow more often or heavier then move up to 3.55 or 3.73 but 3.31 did fine otherwise.

Oil consumption minimal after 3K , actually dont think its moved at all on the dipstick

I got a 5.0 v8 with 3.31 too. Averaging about 13-13.5 l/100km in Toronto. I actually got the 3.31 by mistake, I ordered 3.73 rear axle but was delivered with a 3.31. It works fine so far.

is there an easy way to tell what axle ratio they installed? My window sticker says 3.73 but is there a tag or code on the diff or something?

Wait. Something can't be right here. Highway should be better than City. 10.8 * 2.3521458 = 25.4 mi/gal. Then towing you got 58 mi/gal? Im confused, what am I missing?

1 KM is only 0.6 Miles
1 Liter is only 0.26 Gallons

I think it's intended as L/100Km, not sure though as thats how we normally look at it up here

10.8 KMs per Liter is better than 14 KMs per Liter.

How so? It's better to drive 14 Km on a single Liter than it is to drive 10 Km on a Liter. It's better to go farther with less fuel consumption...

Right, and one kilometer per liter is equal to 2.352145 miles per US gallon. So 0.6/0.26=2.3 MPG. I think something is off on your math to calculate KM/L. What's your Trip 1 reading?

Pretty cool. It's weird for me to see the numbers reversed like that.
My 2019 had a goofy bare bones productivity screen that showed kms per liter not liters per 100 km

So here's a weird tidbit, i've got 3.73 gears in mine, and i'm averaging 12.3L/100km. I only suspect it will get better once complete the break in period of 1K.

What are you guys seeing now that you have gone a few more thousand, has it improved?
