I’m just writing to say how much I freaking love the KO2’s on my truck! I’ve logged over 85k miles on them and they still get me through my muddy rural driveway like nobody’s business, and they still have loads of tread left after all those miles. The stock Pirelli Scorpion tires lasted 50k miles and I replaced them with KO2’s at the time to see what everyone was raving about. Well I just rolled over 135k miles so I figured I’d post some pictures for anyone on the fence about whether or not they are worth the investment. They are definitely worth it! I can normally get out of the driveway in just 2WD, but it does get a little snotty sometimes

edit: these pics are the tires as they sit currently with 85k miles on them.

On my '22, I replaced the stock tires with KO2 within 1,000 miles. I traded it on my '24 KR with 52k - so 51k on the KO2s. Tires still had 12/32nd of tread. Just wear like iron.

That still isn't even close to the wear lines. Gotta be 8/32 at worst. Other ATs are smoother. Other ATs might be better in mud or rocks or sand. KO2s are pretty good at everything and they are bulletproof. Time will tell if the KO3 is as durable.

Only complaint I have with my KO2's is that they have horrible wet pavement traction. Other than that they're doing well.

KO2s generally dry rot before they wear out.

You should try the KO3s next.

Im thinking about giving KO3's a try before next winter, currently running DuraTracs, they been great with almost 60K on them and plenty of tread to get me through summer, only issue is they have gotten pretty noisy over time/sounding like a MT

That is incredible wear. How bad is the noise and the mpg hit, relative to the Scorpions?

I put a set of KO3's on before the start of this winter. So far they are holding me to the road well up here in Wisconsin. No updates on wear as of yet.

Crazy you have 135k on a 2022. My 2021 has only 34k. However, 85k on a set of ATs is incredible.
Tea, mine were toast after 50k km

HA! I have 6k on my 2022. :) Working from home is a big change from my commuting days when I would drive 35k-40k a year.

My tires sidewalls will dry rot before the tread wears out.

2021 XLT Screw 5.0,4x4,302Asport,
Having dumped the Hancooks at 28k, I'm noticing that the Michelin Defenders are wearing at a similar rate. Used to replace tires on older vehicles once every 50-70k. 30-40k replacement is terrible.
Should I go to LT tires for longer life?

So far my KO2’s are still quieter than the Scorpions were when they were worn out. I was expecting them to sound like mud terrain tires, but they are only slightly louder now with 85k on them as they were when they were new

I don’t drive my truck enough to put tires on that last that long. I put new tires on every two years and my tire guy gives me a trade in on them.
