Wish the marsh gray was available in a BAP. They put it on the Bronco's with the black package and it looks really sharp! At least they are offering the BAP in the 157" Lariat. I think I will still keep my
'21 XLT 157" with sport appearance for another year, just under 40k on the odometer, so really don't need to downgrade since they seem to have defeatured over the past years.

The V8 option is $120 on the Lariat. Hardly a gouge it my opinion. Inflation is real…
Its actually a no cost option on the Lariat but the Lariat has an MSRP of $15,380 more than a 4x4 XL with 5.0 V8. The Lariat is nice but $15,380 more nice, I’m not sure about that.

For 2026 Model the V8 is $120 option, I've already received two order quotes from Granger confirming this. Since you can't get a Lariat in a 2 door you have to compare apples to apples and spec both out with Supercrew and 5.0. A Lariat Supercrew has WAAAAAY more features than an XL SC.

But if all you want is a SC with a 5.0 and don't care about having a 4X4, heated and ventilated seats, LED projector headlights dynamic bending, LED tailights, Blue-cruise, Security package, Carpet, Defrosting rear window, ...etc...then sure, the XL is the better deal. But if you spec them exactly the same, you'll find that price difference isn't so far apart.

I don’t think you’d necessarily lose any functionality of the 12” dash cluster over the 4” with analog gauges. With the digital you can choose to see actual readouts of things like oil and coolant temp rather than a basic “dummy” gauge.
12” center display is probably the same as before, just worded different. Same for the black grille.
The 40/console/40 front seat is limited to fleet customers on hybrid only, ie crew cab. So not available on regular cabs.
Not sure where you’re seeing no tow/haul mode with 5.0, even if that were the case that’s only the drive mode. Still comes with class 4 hitch with 4/7 pin wiring.
Thanks!

Good catch on the tow/haul comment. I reread the order guide and I was mistaken. I edited my original post. XL includes Tow/Haul as standard on both 4x2 and 4x4 as well as EcoBoost and 5.0.

So I guess the next big question is... If an order is placed for a 2026 today, when's it getting built?

Looks like they're still building 2025s.

According to the dates I found before that showed the order dates, looks like job one isn’t until week of 12/22. Which I thought they were down a week or so for Christmas? Probably won’t see any retail orders delivered till early February I bet. That’s if the order gets picked up first with no restrictions.

That's not my understanding the way it reads. All 2024 and newer f-150s, get the class IV hitch, 4/7 pin connectors, and they have good towing ratings with the 5.0 and 3.5. But that is not the actual "trailer tow package"

If you read the order guide under XL where it shows standalone packages, It's showing it's optional on non 2.7 trucks that are super cabs or supercrew.

Essentially what Ford did is they made the old crappy 53B class IV hitch package standard on every F-150, bumped the tow ratings close to what the 53A type package used to be which was the official "trailer tow package". And then now offer the 53T, as the new "trailer tow package" that has slightly higher ratings and the trailer brake controller.

They then dropped the 53C "max tow package" and created the max towing axle option That can be added to the trailer tow package 53T.

Is the Argon Blue anything like the old Velocity Blue? I loved that blue and they discontinued it for 2022 when I ordered mine. I got the darker Atlas Blue which is nice but I wanted Velocity Blue.

Now if only they would bring back Autumm Orange or a darker burnt orange.
they just got an argon blue f250 at my local dealer, and it reminds me of the blue that's on Honda crv's and Acura's of recent years. Looks very good imo

They always forced chrome with stone gray too. I would have definitely ordered my 2018 with it otherwise.

Ahh, I see. I did price a 2025 XL SC 4x4 with 5.0 V8 against a base Lariat with 5.0 (standard for 2025) to get that price difference to try and make the base powertrain as comparable as possible. Obviously you cant option a XL like a Lariat. Still, my wife's Kia Telluride has real Nappa leather seats, heated and ventilated seats, super nice LED projector headlights, LED taillights, adaptive cruise (car steers itself), and other super nice features that make many more expensive so called luxury vehicles look not so good and it didn’t cost much more than my XL F-150 did. It is a unibody vehicle so I know unibody construction costs less to manufacture.

I test drove an XLT Ranger with 2.3-literally I-4 engine two weeks ago that had considerable features for the price point and then test drove a base Ford F-150 2wd RCLB with 2.7 and I preferred the full size truck mostly because I preferred the more comfortable seats and driving position of the full size truck. I didn’t like that the bottom seat cushion in the Ranger was short reducing thigh support which can make longer drives less enjoyable. It is for a company issued vehicle so that was the reason for the test drive.
