Not sure if it has been verified yet or not, but I can confirm - front bumper harness from a 25 platinum WILL operate and function premium fog lights on a 25 lariat.
(The one I tested on worked at least)

I ordered a harness from a “buy my $375 harness” guy in July. Bought a 25 lariat in August. Still have not received the harness.
got my hands on a platinum harness, tested it out on a different truck than mine tha I had apart to see if it would work. All looked good.

my idea was to keep it factory like, maintain the one and done plug with no extra connectors.
Will test on my own truck when I get some time.
Haha where were you at 3 months ago. I would have much rather done it that way. Do you happen to have the part number of the harness you verified? I'd still rather have an oem harness and willing to take my bumper back off for it

here is the part number for the harness I used as well as the production code on the harness itself.

What parts did you get to make your own harnesses?

I was going to do the install and just add to the the existing foglight harness. Did you have to cut it out and add a new one?

Thanks!
Take a look at the parts in the quoted section of my post. Wfar1512 has pictures of parts needed:

2x pairs of 16 pin connectors
2x H11 male connectors
2x 4 pin fog light female connectors
some 18 awg wire
some waterproof butt connectors
and anything you want to use to protect the wiring. (i used split loom and some fabric tape)

No cutting of my factory harnesses. I made a harness that goes between the factory harness and the headlight and tapped into the DRL wires extending them down to the new 4 pin fog light connector (the illuminated emblem I bought from Ford also came with a harness like this). Also connected to the original fog light H11 to pickup the fog light power and ground. Making 2 of these took me a couple hours. If I didn't have the time, buying a harness would have been much easier and faster.

This was before I completed the split loom:

As a side note, if the ground to the factory fog light harness isn't good, neither the fogs or the DRLs in the fog will work. That problem confused me for an hour or so while I was troubleshooting the harness. Somebody smarter here probably knows why.

I will hold on to my 21 until someone rips it away from me. Zero deletes. Zero downgrades

Now that I got my refund, I will happily blast CSS automotive lighting solutions.
I read through this thread prior to ordering, was Leary, but lead time was 1-3 weeks so I went ahead. Like others, zero communication. 4 emails over the course of 6 weeks, nothing.
Glad I always pay with PayPal. created a case, all of a sudden css emails to offer a refund, blaming an order mix up and tariffs making it hard to ship to Canada.

Anyone considering ordering from them, please don’t.
Buy the factory harness for a platinum.

I've never actually ordered from him but I liked how he actually carried decently priced parts, seems like all he does now is harnesses which doesnt really interest me any. I've also heard from a couple places about the long wait and poor communication.

On a side note if it isn't too much trouble could you upload a picture of the connector at the bumper side of the platinum harness. I want to see which pins are populated compared to my lariat one. Im fairly handy with wiring and I feel like it would be fairly easy just to add the couple wires instead of buying a whole new harness. I, and im sure many others, Appreciate you being able to test the platinum harness.

I did think of going that route, but figured since I had easy access to the factory harness, give it a test run first.
The harness is at work, I’ll snap some shots tomorrow.

For me, his price was outrageous. But it was proven to work.
I’m in Canada, his 375 harness rang in at 520 Canadian.
I got the oem harness for 210 Canadian.

I'm in Canada too, so I appreciate the review/feedback.

Do you happen to know the PN for the harness you used? And with the harness, the install becomes "plug and play"?

Thanks!

Yep I posted the harness yesterday, second post on page 13, or post 182 if viewing on pc is any different.

This will make it plug and play, be 100% factory.

Oh damn, sorry I missed seeing it earlier. Thats a ton of help, I'm just going to order that one

I recall reading that the install requires removing a bit more than just the bumper cover, but other than that, fairly straight forward?

Thanks again!

I have a 25' lariat on order thats due in November and am stockpiling some stuff. It's already been said in this thread, but I had a 21' and it's a shame that a bunch of the stuff i"m ordering is to re-content the 25 back to what I had in the 21'.

It’s pretty straight forward.
I just put the lights and harness in my truck.

Upper bumper cover comes off, upper grille cover, grille and shutter as an assembly, then the bumper can come off.

The active air dam will need to be removed, then the actuators, then the XLT fog lights, then the main bumper mounting brackets.
No way to swap whole bumper sensor without doing this as some of the sensor connectors and harness mounts are hidden by the brackets.

I’ve done this once or twice, total time start to finish was 80 minutes. But I am an experienced Autobody tech.

Looking up the part number on the box I get this: Wire Parking Distance Aid Se - Ford (RL3Z-15K867-AC). Sounds like that may be right. Funny that it references the parking sensors and not the fog lights. Around $200.

I was looking into some wiring diagrams from a workshop manual last night comparing the pins that were populated in my current bumper harness vs the pin out on the connector from the workshop manual of a 24. I noticed I have pins in the connector that says they're unused in the manual. I pulled up a manual from a 21 platinum and it shows the extra pins I have in mine are in fact the ones needed for the higher end fog lights. I almost wonder if the wires are already in the harness somewhere and all we'd need to do is find the wires and add the 4 pin connector. I might do some more investigating this weekend. I find it unlikely they'd have unused wires in the harness but i also dont know why I'd have the pins already in the connector then.

Edit: one of the manuals I had must have been from a lower trim, I finally got my other manual to load and off the 24 manual it confirms the pins I have in my harness are the same as the 21-23. So the harness that comes on the 25 lariats do in fact have the pins in the harness for the higher end fog lights they just dont have the correct plug on the end

Update: im an idiot and didnt realize the male end of the connector i took a picture of was from the truck side. The bumper harness doesnt have the correct pins/wires in it but as jokey has confirmed the new harness he got works and is the way I'd recommend going for anyone wanting to add them as you already have to take the bumper off and it's a quick swap and its cheaper than an aftermarket harness.

I'm looking to do this for my 25 Lariat PB and I'll be going the factory harness route- thank you @jokey for confirming. What are the specific part numbers for the left / right LED fog lights? Not sure if MY24 and MY25KR have the same part #s or if it matters. I'll be going OEM if possible- I don't want to push my luck with cheaper alternatives.
