2024 TCU

Hey guys currently considering a 2024 F150 and am curious if this is the same TCU setup as past years or if anything has changed. Can you still disconnect the entire TCU behind the back seat if desired? If there a fuse that could possibly be pulled instead? Thanks for any insight.

If I’m not mistaken it’s the TCU / telematics control unit that houses the cellular / WiFi hardware. Trying to determine if for the 2024s you can still access this unit behind the back seat to unplug it and / or if there is a fuse you can pull to cut power to these systems if and when desired.

Just curious why you would want to do that. Are you planning on robbing a bank and don’t want to be traced? Hahahaha

No use for it in my case. I’ll try the menu settings of course first but don’t know if that really shuts it off or not. Looking at the 2024 fuse diagram, does anyone know if it’s the cell phone passport module fuse by chance?

I always thought TCU was "transmission control unit". I had a separate ECU and TCU tune for a VW golf R.
