It should be at the very top edge of the window sticker. Here's a pic of the blend date of my order. How do I find the blend and build dates?
NHTSA is who handles vehicle issues. Not being able to build boost is a loss of at least half of your power and they'd probably like to hear about it https://www.nhtsa.gov/report-a-safety-problemI opened a case with Ford a day after the codes popped up. I'm waiting on a call back about my options, buyback being one of them.
The dealer I purchased from is willing to come get the truck, and they will give me a loaner IF Ford ponies up to cover the cost. They said normally loaners are not an issue, but they hesitate when it's going to be months. There are also rules about towing and out of state travel with loaners, both of which I do on a regular basis.
I will look into the National Safety Board
I just looked at mine and didn't see it. I must have seen it on the online version ?The only date I see on the sticker is what looks to be a date at the bottom under the total msrp field: 05-28-24.

When I picked up the truck that I ordered from the dealer, I took it for a 45 mile test ride before I signed the papers.I'd get rid of it immediately. No reason to go thru the dealership BS for months. Get your money back and buy something else. What was the build date on your truck? Was it an early 2024 that was delay? The truck I ordered has been sitting in a lot for 5 months due to "quality control". Supposedly it arrives next month. If for any reason it throws a check engine light, it will be going straight back and I'm getting my money back.
You may be able to get Ford to reimburse you a vehicle payment. I did that on my MY21 F150 when it was at the dealership for 6 months.Update: the truck is home!
The diagnosis was waste gates sticking in both turbos when hot. Both turbo assemblies were replaced along with a myriad of related parts. It seems to be running normal now, but I’ve got very little baseline to compare since I really didn’t have any miles on it. Time will tell.
PS, for those of you that recommended pursuing a buy back, my state requires 30 business days without the vehicle to enforce lemon law. I believe that clock starts ticking when the dealer first diagnoses the issue. If that’s accurate they came through with 3 days left. The truck broke down around 40 days ago; I’m hoping Ford will at least restart the clock on the Blue Cruise trial and maybe kick in a bit more for my wait.
