I read a lot of helpful stuff here before buying my truck so I wanted to give back a bit for others getting ready to buy. Seeing the small changes from '24 to '25, I am really glad I bought last month. This truck has been absolutely amazing so far!

Things I love:

- ProAccess tailgate is awesome! I use it all the time. Makes it so much easier to load quick items in/out of the bed and its easy to climb into the bed using the PAT door and bumper step. I was unsure if I wanted this feature but I'm really glad to have it. It's a must have if you're on the fence.

- Powerboost engine has been so nice! I was unsure since I really hate the start/stop feature. The car switches seamlessly between engine/battery and you can barely notice. The engine is quiet and smooth and really great all around. The truck is so quiet inside the cabin and I love that.

- HUD is perfect! Such a nice feature! It's clean and simple and really nice driving without constantly looking down at the dash. I was considering a base platinum without HUD and glad I went with the 502a instead which included HUD.

- Door keypad is great and I use it all the time. I hate keys in my pocket and its nice to be able to leave the key in the truck and use the keypad. Such a shame they re-did this and made it an option for '25+.

I know many have had some quality control issues and I'm thankful to not have any yet. The truck is quiet, smooth and seems well built all around. My only complaint is orange peel on the paint job but I can live with it as its only noticeable up close.

Like others, I checked my fuse box and all fuses were half way in. Had to push them all in fully. Also needed my rear differential fluid topped off since it was low.

So far, I've tinted the windows 30% all around, added a short antenna, rear wheel liners, and a Lomax hard folding bed cover.

Great write up! Very happy with my ‘24 501a PB. Minus replacing OEM battery. Wish I had HUD! ProAccess is so convenient. I almost never use the tailgate. The bumper step is fine for going up, but a bit shallow for going down IMO. Feels like your heel could easily slip or miss the bumper, especially carrying something. I got the retractable bed step on Black Friday sale from Ford, such a solid addition. Also allows my little kiddos and wife easier access to and from the bed. Highly recommended addition.

Beautiful truck! Congrats - and so nice to see you are thrilled with your truck.

If you don't mind posting some pics of your Lomax cover, I'd really appreciate it. I'm debating between the lomax and diamondback.

Sweet. Murdered out sans these little shiny things right here. Ford needs to include the black lugs already!

Now I feel like I should go look at all the fuses in my truck. A little over 9000 miles and no issues so maybe mine are fine.

But how did you realize and validate that the rear diff fluid was low?

I have had all the various cover types, Retrax, Backflip and now Diamondback - they all have their benefits/downfalls but my Diamondback is my favorite, and the only cover that has been totally water tight after 3 years, finish has not faded, etc

Here are some pics. I don’t have other covers to compare it to, but I really like this one. It was incredibly easy to install and I like how easy it is to take off when I need the full bed. It’s very low profile and nice looking. It’s sturdy and you can put things on top of it. It looks great and is easy to use which fits my needs. The seal all around seems good and I imagine everything will stay dry.

I bought from this site for $973 before tax, which is a good price compared to what I’ve been seeing elsewhere. If you call or connect with the chat they give an extra 3% off. autoaccessoriesgarage.com.

Definitely check your fuses. It’s so easy to do. I didn’t have any issues but I saw many people pointing this out so I checked and sure enough, all needed an extra push.

I also saw many people mentioning their rear diff fluid being low. Apparently it’s supposed to be topped off at the new car inspection but it’s often missed. I just asked the dealership to check when I had my car in and they said they topped it off. You can also find videos to check at home - it looks easy.
