2024 F150 lariat 502A Engineering Test Mode

Hey guys,

I’m trying to get into the engineering test mode on my 2024 F150 lariat.

Holding the “ok” button and starting the truck, the engineering test mode alert shows up but it quickly disappears and then only displays the seatbelt alert.

Does anyone know how to get around this?

Try this: Wait about 2 minutes for system to "soft sleep" essentially. What I mean by this is wait for the interior lights to go dark. I noticed on mine that if I previously started the truck in regular mode, then immediately tried to go into engineering mode, it would not work. I had to turn it off, then open the driver door and close it to trigger the system to "soft sleep", then try it again and it worked.

I have the same truck and engineering mode shows up in the HUD, not the dash screen. Mine goes directly to HUD adjustment, but if you scroll down through the options, engineering mode is at the bottom.

Thanks, neither of those suggestions worked. I could get it to display in the HUD but there was only HUD options there

Ok, I think I figured it out.
If I hold the ok button for about 5 seconds first, then push the ignition button while still holding ok and let off the ok button just a second later, mine went into engineering test mode on the dash display.
If I hold the ok button, push the ignition button right away and keep holding the ok button until the HUD says etm, then I get the hud adjustments in the hud.
I tried both of these 3 times each and it worked this way every time.

I still can’t get it to work, even letting the ok button off right after starting the truck

Weird. I didn’t start mine, just accessory mode.

For my 2025 Lariat 501A, 4x4, 5.0, keyless ignition (push to start)
Have done this many times over last few days.

Power is off

Press/hold OK button AND brake for at least 5 seconds. (A good 5 Mississippi’s)

While holding OK and brake, push to start (engine will start)

Continue holding both until “ET” shows in lower right corner of gauge cluster (just below speed limit icon). Release OK and brake pedal.

Cycle thru pages

To turn engineering mode off, just power down/stop engine

I am sorry but what is engineering test mode and what does it do?

Dumb question: What does this engineering mode do for you. Can you change things like in ForScan?

Engineering mode has all sorts of info, but for most of us, the screen we care about it AFE Fuel Bias - also known as calibrating the Lie-o-Meter so It's accurate.
