I picked up an F150 Platinum Powerboost last week (came from a RAM) and when I went to activate the ACC and BlueCruise, I received Pre-Collision Assist Unavailable, Front Camera Fault, and Lane-Keeping System fault, alerts immediately after driving away from the dealership. I ran an OBD and the following codes popped up. When I took it in to dealer service I was told that there was an "anti-glare sheet" covering the top portion of the windshield above the forward-facing camera that was interfering with the ACC systems. They ordered a replacement windshield and will need to recalibrate the camera. After pouring over endless articles, I couldn't find any where someone experiencing the same issues with the camera received the same diagnosis and remediation. If anyone has any knowledge on this particular subject, I am curious if this anti-glare sheet is a legitimate issue and if so, are these sheets factory placed? Thank you!

FORDSkin. I cannot answer your question but thanks for adding one more item to my checklist when I test drive my new F150 at the dealership when I pick it up later this month.

Might be a long shot but double check the fuses are seated properly both in the under hood and passenger compartment. My ‘21 had at least 50% of the fuses barely seated. Also double check the SOC to make sure you don’t have a low voltage condition.

Low SOC shouldn’t happen on a new vehicle but it did on mine and I replaced the battery myself. Known battery faults in Ford OEM batteries.

14 days, still no resolution. Service keeps telling me they “expect” the windshield to come in “any” day. When I check on Ford parts, the ETA is 1-2 days… does anyone think there is something more at play?

I'm sorry you're dealing with this with a brand new truck. That really sucks.

I haven't had any codes through 9,300 miles so far, but I did notice three drips of adhesive/glue, about an inch long each, at the upper left (driver) corner of the inside of my windshield (looked like a crow's foot). I first hit it with Invisible Glass - no impact. Then I hit it with Goo Gone - still nothing. Eventually I had to grab a razor blade and spend ten minutes scraping it off. It was nowhere near my windshield cameras, but if an adhesive can drip that much in the corner, maybe it could also do it in the center over the cameras?

That sounds pretty plausible, I tried to see if there was a residue near the seam of the glass but the black anti-glare material made it difficult. I did read of early MY24’s that were being recalled for improperly adhered windshields. Maybe as part of the QA remediation they double bubbled mine.

This is what exactly happened to me on my way home from the dealership. I turned on adaptive cruise control and lane centering. I wasn't 5 miles from the dealership. They had it for several weeks. Replaced sensors and modules. My lane centering still not working properly, but apparently a fix for that now. Need to contact dealership.

I am sorry to hear that... at the same time it's "comforting" to know that I'm not the only one. I've had over a dozen vehicles in the last 20 years and this is the first time I've had issues with one so early on. Even if it is remedied, my mind is going to f**k with me throughout the duration of the lease every time I hear a strange noise or have an alert pop up.

I completely agree with you. I've mentioned on here a few times I've been purchasing Ford vehicles for over 30 years now. In that time I owned a contracting company and all my work trucks and vans were ford. My 23' and 24' have been horrible. I traded in my 23' with 13,000 Miles because I just couldn't take it anymore and the final nail in the coffin was a sunroof leak they couldn't figure out. My interior was ruined it didn't help that they started damaging plastic pieces. I wouldn't dare have my 24' over 36,000 miles without Ford protect. A service manager really opened to my eyes to what's going on. And we must not forget. Ford made mainstream media covrage over the quality issues.

You’re not wrong about that, anything with moving parts it seems like… caved in and paid $500 for a refrigerator repair because the parts weren’t clearly identifiable and Dr. Google wasn’t intuitive enough.
