The ford tracker is terrible. I would reach out to your dealer for an update. Mine was ordered 9/14, in production 1/15, then hasn't been updated since 1/17. My dealer was able to provide more details, though not much...
"Sent offsite to await shipment, should be shipped in March"

Frustrating to say the least.

Kind of bummed is I ordered a KR in September 2023 and the dealer just told me Ford cancelled the order with no reason given. Sounds weird to me but it sucks.

How long before delivery does the dealership know that their ordered trucks are actually coming. Is there an honest answer here or do they get surprised when the transport show up?

I think the honest answer is, they dont care. If you call your dealer, and ask them for an update, you might get more up to date information. If they inquire, the information is there for them. But if they no one is asking, they probably wont look it up.

I text my dealer (sawgrass ford) and they looked up my order. It now shows in transit with an ETA of March 22-28. The Ford tracking website is currently showing "order confirmed".

Have any of the dealers received 2024 F-150's yet? Supposedly they started shipping over a week ago.

It sounds like some dealers have gotten some of the 2024s, but it also looks like what has arrived appears to be STX and XLs (at least those are the only ones I've heard of showing up).

Is a bit more complex than that. I work for a big tech firm, and have looked at jobs at Ford in the past. They are dinosaurs when it comes to IT systems.
My guess is that they paid a contractor a few years back to build the online tracker website, and now that contract has expired and nobody on their IT department knows how to fix it. Add that to corporate America culture of the IT guys says it works, but nobody listens to the outsourced people working to answer the chat that know that it doesn’t.
That is also why I don’t recommend anyone seeing the new tailgate on their tracker to get excited. They likely don’t have the capability to store multiple versions of the 3D generated images to represent differences between jobs, that is all.
