2024 302a, BP package Gold Wrench

Gold wrench turns on, then goes aways. Stays off for a week or so, then comes back on. Of course its says powertrain issues. Truck does not go into limp mode and drives normal. Anything I need to be worried about? Is it just a sensor going bad? I have yet to have it scanned.

There's a bunch of possible causes for this to pop up. If you don't have Forscan or a OBD code reader handy swing by any parts house and have them scan for codes. Could even be as simple as forgetting to reset the oil life monitor after having the oil changed. If none of these apply then definitely want to take it in to the dealer.

If you have a way to pull codes, see if there is one for the GSM (Gear Shift Module). It may be there and it may not be. I had to have my GSM replaced this weekend cause of the same issue. Service engine wrench coming on and then going away. They replaced the shifter after they ordered a new one and while they were trying to program is, they found out my battery was not holding up. They replaced it free of charge which was a plus. Everything appears to be good at this time. Will keep the threads updated if any other issues pop up.

Ok ill definitely check into this. I have heard that Ford is having issues with this. Ill get it checked and update the results.

I am waiting to have my GSM replaced. Put shifter down one day and would not come back up. Had to disconnect battery to reset. Then wrench started showing.
There is a TSB for this. Since it happened to me, my dealer has had four others come in. But part is on back-order.

Yup that was it. Shifter was bad. Also had the driver side windows adjusted while it was in the shop. Had a recall out on that too.
