Agreed. If happens again I would push to have them also replace the fuel pump driver. Could be putting out some odd stuff damaging the motors over time.
We had a high voltage warning on repeat failures so believe it’s linked to the battery ……

Just wanted to let everyone know I finally got my truck back, just shy of 4 months from when it broke down in Utah. The fuel pump finally came in after about 3 months, and then the Moab dealer said the hybrid battery was low again and they had sent the borrowed rescue charger back to the dealer they borrowed it from. So, I gave up on them and had Ford ship my truck back to Pearson Ford in Zionsville Indiana (1600 miles). They were very good, replaced both the 12 volt battery under the hood and the 12volt battery under the rear seat, then installed the in-tank fuel pump and all was good. They never used their rescue charger, so Moab Ford was clueless. The odd thing was that Moab Ford also replaced the 12 volt battery under the hood and it never really got used at all, but Pearson said it tested bad.

So it definitely was a burned out fuel pump. It was 109 degrees when the truck died and I had driven over 1600 miles in 2 days of over 100 degree heat.

Just be sure to use your lemon laws, because I came out pretty well on this overall dealing with the repurchased vehicle group. I think they can generally be applied if they have your vehicle for over 30 days and can't fix it. Not supposed to give out details, but happy overall. There is a message you can find under the Tracker area, that has email addresses for Ford executives and I can tell you that both times I emailed them I got a response from Detroit. Not sure how much it helped. But once I got to the repurchased vehicle group, they were good to work with.

2024 Ford F-150 Powerboost
I searched F150 Powerboost fuel pump issues and came across this forum due to problems with my new truck. We bought a new 2024 F150 Powerboost with 30 miles on the odometer this Monday, June 24, 2024 in Silverthorne Colorado due to the expensive failure of my 2013 F350 on a road trip from the west coast to the midwest. The next day we made it to North Platte Nebraska with the new F150, where the check engine light came on and the engine started stuttering or running rough. Pulled over and in approximately 10 minutes it "self healed" (check engine light went off and engine was running smooth again), so we proceeded. Check engine light came on again passing through Lincoln Nebraska so we pulled off the highway and contacted local Ford dealers. First one said "sorry we sent all the techs home early because of the heat", the second said they wouldn't be able to look at it until July 10 (!?!?!), and the third from North Omaha was very helpful with information and arranging to get our truck into their service queue. They checked codes yesterday, Wednesday 6/26 and fuel pump/wiring/fuel pump relay module codes were registered. They ordered a new fuel pump and relay module from Kansas City and as of 2pm Thursday 6/27 only the relay module has arrived. We are stranded over 1500 miles from home and hundreds of miles from our destination. Reading the posts above regarding fuel pump and related issues combined with the Ford supply chain issues getting replacement factory parts is very disappointing. This is our 6th new Ford (4 trucks and 2 SUVs) and this is the most deeply disappointing vehicle initial quality ordeal we have ever experienced or heard of among family, friends, and co-workers. I'll provide an update later today or tomorrow.

I'm curious whether there is an ambient temperature root cause with these fuel pumps and electronics because of what happened in Rockfish's case. We drove though 102 degree heat on Tuesday... But note, we have driven multiple vehicles multiple times from Florida to California in brutal summer conditions (up to 119 degrees in the desert) and never had a problem like this.

That's a really unfortunate event and in tough circumstances. But surely you aren't the only F150 on the roads you are driving down. So whatever the issue is with your new truck, it's not representative of all 2024 F150s.

6+ years of Gen14 F150 ownership in brutal Texas tropical/Coastal temps. Zero visits to a dealership except 1 sheared axle bolt on a 2022 Powerboost.

No doubt the unexpected Super Duty failure would have someone on edge with ANY problem on the brand new replacement truck. But I think it's a little early to declare the new truck a dud. I just hope the service department is competent and Ford can get the part(s) to them pronto. I'll never defend any manufacturer for poor parts availability on current model vehicles. At this point Supply Chain scapegoating is self inflicted, in my opinion.
