I did'nt spend too much time in my truck yet but I was glad to see(hear) the XM the NAV I was surprised about as I didnt order that. I did expect the ProTrailer Backup assist which wasnt there. Most people say its a waste of time but I really wanted it. We have a trailer and I thought it would help but I'm ok with it never had it before so I can live without. I cant wait until Tuesday to sign off and pick it up.

I contacted my dealer this week and was told I am scheduled for 9/12. They had my email wrong which explains why I never received confirmation. At least it’s a start.

I got a call today that my truck is "balanced out," which I understand is a euphemism for we don't have enough parts to build your truck. LOL The dealer said it was the Towing Technology package that was holding-up my truck and I could switch to the Max Tow package to get it built. My concern is that the Tow Tech includes the 360 degree cameras and the Max tow does not, so I asked if I could get regular Tow Package with 360 cams (waiting for reply). And if the issue is Ford has a bunch of max tow parts they need to use, then I'll begrudgingly order the max tow as long as they allow me to also order the 360 cam option.

Both are disappointing solutions, because in either case, I'm now paying more for the same functionality that I wanted-- a lot more for max tow since I don't need the bigger axles, brakes, and it's known that on a PB the max tow doesn't add much to hauling or towing capacity due to the battery weight.

On a related note, my wife has a 2020 Explorer with the 360 cams. They make parking and maneuvering in tight spaces much easier, which is why I want them on my even longer 6.5 bed F150. That being said, she has had the rear camera screen fail (screen is just blue) and it took four visits to get it fixed. They replaced the rear camera and the control module, so I'm guessing they are having issues with the 360 cam technology and using up parts on warranty repairs (assuming it they use the same parts).

My dealer called to tell me they got it in today. About a week or so earlier then stated in the email.

I was really looking forward to the ProTrailer Backup assist and ended up getting my wife an Expedition with it. I found out quickly that it works, but I'm faster without it. I did find a use for it at the boat ramp - when I have the boat aligned straight I turn it on and let it back it down straight as it will keep the trailer backing in a straight line.

Your dealer needs to get their $#!+ together. I ordered with the Tow Tech on 3/26/22 and on 3/28/22 my dealer called and told me that option was "balanced out" and I had two choices: Remove it from the build and get a '22 without it; or order a '23 with the Tow Tech. I removed it and got my truck last week. It sucks that they made you wait 5 months to tell you something that Ford told them in March.

Yes I'm over it and just glad to be 24 hours away from getting it. I'll survive without it.
