2021 PB engine barely runs for the first few seconds when cranked

Occasionally, my '21 PB (88k miles)shakes and shudders for the first few seconds after starting up, as if starved for fuel. I can pat the accelerator gently and it catches up and runs fine. Once I had it shut back off with the dreaded message of pull over and stop asap or whatever that one is. I could not restart for a while, as it was unresponsive to the start button. I was stranded in a store parking lot in the hot sun. Not a happy camper! Is this a known issue?

Rule out the usual suspects: air filter, MAF sensor clean, throttle valve clean, fuel injectors clean, etc.

No check engine light?
Bad fuel?
Change spark plugs?
Wet air filter?

It’s not a new truck, 88k miles things happen. How long has it been doing this? May want to take a picture of the message if you can’t remember it. Does it do this on every start or just a cold start or a hot start?

It has done it on a hot start a few times. Only once did it throw a light and warning and refuse to start for a few minutes.

Correct. It happens once every couple of months. I was just wondering has anyone else experienced the same thing. The PB seems to be buggy in the electronics, with other things happening as well. Running boards don't always deploy properly. The A/C has conked out a couple of times and reset itself after a restart, plus this rough start issue.

I haven’t heard of any issues like that. I’m sure others will be around and chime in over the next few days

That pretty much throws out anything that I could have considered. I'd be looking for commonalities between each occasion. What appears to be random often isn't as random as it appears.
