Similar to engine coolant and transmission fluid temp, the graphic image on the panel is fake and has little semblance of the actual value of the PIDs for those temps.

So on my 23 XLT 302A I dissabled the reverse brake assist in the IPMA and I keep throwing a code for the pre-collision assist not available. Is there another DID that I need to update to keep pre-collision happy?

Perfect, I needed this, I thought I did this last night but I removed the temp from popping up on the middle of the screen when changing
How did you removed the pop-up when you change the temp? I want to do that but leave the status on the top.

Laugh at and learn from my mistake.

Never touch this parameter unless if you feel like doing a PMI for everything.

inhibit speed limiting features
PCM 7E0-163-02 xx1x xxxx xx--

I've played with the PCM before (always without the ignition running and with a battery charger). After trying an experiment with this I thought I bricked my PCM. I only got it back by force rewriting all my as built to every relevant connected module downstream.

It triggers non-resettable DTC's in the PCM, ABS, IPMA, SOBDMC, APIM.

The clear DTC function in ForScan was not a valid solution and would not clear the faults until I force re-wrote my default as built to every other module first.

Definitely not a fun experience, but important to make note of.

------------

I also confirmed how to disable another annoying chime.

Normally if you hit the automatic power tailgate button, a chime will play three times inside the cab and then the tailgate will open or close.

Changing this will disable the IPC tailgate chime resulting in a slightly faster powered open / close sequence. It's also one less stupid chime to listen to.

The instrument control panel will still properly visualize whether the tailgate is ajar when the chime is disabled.

Do I need to connect the main battery on my PowerBoost to a trickle charger while running Forscan for an extended amount of time? Let's say an hour or two.
Lastly, which OBD reader you guys recommend? the Bluetooth one or the wired one?

I would definitely throw an external power supply on the 12V system if you will be in accessory mode for a several minutes at a time.
The HV battery can't supplement the 12V battery once it drops below a certain SOC.

Do I need to worry about the battery underneath the rear seat?

They are both connected 99.9% of the time. So charging one is charging both.

I have a drawer full of OBD adapters.
Although a Bluetooth OBDLink MX+ will work with Forscan, Forscan "officially" recommends the OBDLink EX (USB) adapter.
I suspect that recommendation is to be safer if the user intended to flash with Forscan?

Trying to understand the cameras at speed options under IPMA 706-02-02, I see the following heading:

FeatureCfg_DPAC_ViewCtlAtSpeed_Hitch (FCDPACVCASH) • FeatureCfg_DPAC_ViewCtlAtSpeed_Aux (FCDPACVCASA) • FeatureCfg_DPAC_ViewCtlAtSpeed_CHMSL (FCDPACVCASCHMSL) • FeatureCfg_DPAC_ViewCtlAtSpeed_RCOD (FCDPACVCASRCOD)

What does each of those do?

First line is enabling hitch view?
Second line is Aux view if you have one?
What does CHMSL mean?
What does RCOD mean?

Thanks in advance.
