Speaking of cameras, has anybody come across which digit needs to be changed to make this blatant lie of a message go away yet?

A future truck update might remove that but I wouldn't count on it. From what I read it didn't used to be on the screen so it could be some legal CYA thing.

It was actually worst. It used to say “please check surrounding for safety” in the black box.

Just wanted to drop a big thank you to everyone in this thread for providing such great info and guidance!

I am a tech lover but was hesitant to mess with my new truck, especially since it's my first ever new vehicle, but with all the info provided here it really gave me confidence to try. I have not touched any AS BUILT data at all to accomplish things, just backed up all those modules before beginning. I've only done the "easy" mode with no changing of hex/code values.

So far, I've done:
  • Bambi Mode
  • Silent Mode - with Sync 4 toggle
  • Global Windows - with Sync 4 toggle
  • Double beep key reminder disable
  • Courtesy wipe timer increase
  • Tap to signal increase number of flashes
  • Increase number of "custom cards" in the display from 5 to 10

I am pretty excited that it's all gone well. The global windows one was a bit tricky to track down across all the modules in easy mode, but I got there. I'm especially looking forward to Silent Mode for camping! With the switch for that in the Sync 4 display it'll be infinitely more usable than having to swap the Forscan data.

Anywhoo, thanks again! This forum also helped me swap out my bumper wiring harness to support the Customer Placed Camera and TPMS kit for my travel trailer, so I'm feeling pretty great about how this whole rig has come together... other than someone smashed into both the truck at trailer while it was parked in my drive when only 16 days old lol. But insurance and repairs are all done so it's clear sailing ahead.

It’s in the SCCM. Default is 2 secs, so I increased to 3. Catches more dribbles imo. haha

Interestingly I have the Courtesy Wipe enabled in my Sync4 settings and the only thing I changed was the Wipe Time. I guess sometimes things don't get pulled exactly as they are in the truck or something. Anywhoo, just that one setting worked for me.

Has anyone figured out how to activate the bed camera from the R hand side of the screen? I used Livinitup's post from 7/13 and was able to activate the cards in APIM for trip, pitch/roll, and bed cam, but the bedcam card doesn't do anything even when in park. Any ideas? otherwise i'll just deactivate that card for now.

This is my first time using Forscan, been a Ford owner for 18 years, obviously a newbie but i've been able to do Bambi mode, disable double honk, add digital readout to gauges, set blinker to 5 blinks from 3, global windows (only front two as previous have said), and added cards as above.

Patiently waiting for you computer wizzes to come up with more mods! Thank you!
Did you end up figuring this out? I just added the bed cam card and I just see a camera button. When pressed nothing happens.

Does anyone have the default values for a 2021+ F150 that came with 275/60R20 wheels? I’m upgrading from 275/65R18.

Are the default values 09 for the first line and F2 for the second line? Or are they different?

Thinking of swapping out the 3.31 gears my truck brought for some 3.55's. Anyone know how to make the adjustment to let my truck know the gears are different and my speedo stays accurate? I looked in Livnitup's spreadsheet in the BCM section. 726-15-01 mentions axle ratio, but it says "unused/undefined".

i would email jessie or livingitup
i know tires are doable, but gears ratios might be elsewhere. or out of scope in forscan
this is a darn good question.
imo 3.31 it 3.55 is negligible with the 10 spd, 3.73 would make a difference vrrom vroom

Jesse isn't sure. I'll ask Livnitup if I don't get a response here. I can't be the only one that has done this. Maybe someone with 3.55 gears can post their as-built data from that line in the BCM so I compare it to mine?

I thought about the 3.7.3's, but since I tow my boat long distances a few times a year, I don't want to kill the fuel economy completely. As it is with the 3.31's, I get 7mph at 70mph towing my boat. Since you know SoFlo: Going down to the keys, I can't drive that fast, but when I go out to the west coast via Alligator Alley, I can do 70mph the whole way there. Even with the 36 gallon tank, I don't think I would make it all the way over there without refueling with 3.73's.

Bounces between 8th and 9th. Towing about 6,500 lbs, carrying 4 passengers and the bed full of luggage and gear. ?

3:73 is a great ratio on these trucks if you are towing. Comes out of the hole a little better, and spins a few more rpms at cruise speed. I think I prefer the higher rpms under load because it keeps the truck cooler (water pump volume) and closer to the meat of the torque curve.
