Background for question following
  • 2022 Lariat showing 22012_PRODUCT and Revision 321 (full vehicle spec in my signature block below)
  • Vehicle says no SYNC updates available, FordPass says Power-Up 3.5.2 installed on 9/18/2022
After making a backup of ALL of my as-built modules I've enabled the following mods in the sequence listed and all work swell ( (y) ) :
  1. Digital Temps
  2. Double Horn Honk Disable
  3. Bambi Mode
  4. Unreal Theme (without climate bar)
  5. Oil Life in SYNC settings
My process upon making a mod is to completely disconnect my FORScan / laptop after making an incremental backup of each changed module .abt, run vehicle (engine on) to confirm all is working, then start again for next mod.

Issue / Question

I attempted to enable Global WIndows as mod #6 after confirming all above were working; the usual for me triple-check of edits before writing (but I'm only human, errors may have been made).

Global WIndows did not work with my keyfob.

I've now restored my DDM, PDM, and BCM (bdy CM) to previously saved configurations of each of those modules editied as part of the Global Windows mod.

Before I go back and try again: Has anyone had any issue enabling Global WIndows in a situation similar to mine?

Thanks In Advance

@Buyer2021
May be worth enabling it in the Apim and making sure that it is enabled.

OK, I thought the APIM / SYNC4 settings menu enable for Global WIndows was optional but your suggestion is worth a try, Thanks!

If that works I'll then see if it 'sticks' upon removing the menu control from the APIM ;)

@antho

You nailed it: After enabling Global Windows in door and BCM modules with the 'optional' menu control in APIM I found the remote open/close were disabled in the new Vehicle Settings>Windows.

Toogle 'em on in the vehicle settings menu and all works great (y)

I didn't try removing the menu control to see if it 'sticks' - I'll live with the extra "WIndows" item in the menu ;)

Your help is much appreciated, have a great day! :)

You guys adding on-screen climate / seats makes me LOL. I wish I could add physical buttons to the mach e and get rid of the screen only controls.

I have a rough decision. I like the "home screen", bit don't like the climate controls. Right now I like the former more than I dislike the latter.

Quick question - I disabled the fake engine sound last night, and I think I actually prefer it on...

It's reprogrammed to:

727-01-01xxxxxxxx0x--

But I am an idiot and can't remember what the 0 value was before the switch. Does anyone have that info? Don't want to start trying random values... Thanks

Mine was a 1
The last 4 were 1080, after changing to 0 forescan changed the third to a 7 for a final of 0070
Not sure if trims matter for ACM like they can for other modules, but Lariat 502A

Not that I claim I saved that change or would defeat any safety features

@brett_g
Put you vin in the motorcraft site. Just know, The data will update eventually. So you should be able to find your change if checked early enough.

I'm looking for a way to stop the windows from going back down half way because of in channel vent visor bind. they don't alway drop back down, but it's a pain.
I searched this thread, nothing. Only the above configuration found in the door modules on Forscan.
Thanks

Throw a 1 in that position and you will be back to stock.

Did you try bounce-back calibration?
