Maybe it’s me, but i’m leaning toward the one with the thrash metal soundtrack versus the switch. Not sure this is any better.
Sorry for the dirty screen and my son's switch playing in the background....lol

So do you think that's a splash screen that is using the new Unreal for rendering?
Or asked another way, if you disabled Unreal, does that splash screen look different?
I ask because I enabled the 75th Anniversary splash screen BEFORE I enabled Unreal. And although Sync4 is dramatically affected by the engine, I don't think the 75th Anniversary splash screen was.
It's the Unreal Engine that renders Sync4 with extraordinary depth and fresh theme. (so in a way of speaking, those video game driven technologies are improving Sync4)I must have missed something. What's with Unreal on Sync4?
If that is the default in the lightning, I doubt Ford is leveling them. They are likely using a common install package and using setting (which we access via forscan) to set it per model. We just have it because it's in the same "version" of the software.Just a little comparison. This is startup from the Lightning. So they are truly leveling all of these trucks. Will be interesting to see if we get the 75th splash screen.
I bet that's it. It's like I tell my devs, parameterize it! As in give me options to change the behavior without custom versions or redeploys to change something.Ahhhh, so that's what that splash screen is intended. That makes sense. It's the Lightning.
The 75th splash screen will very likely be available in the Lightning as well since it appears it's included in the splash screen library of the latest APIM build? And it's the intended slash screen for the 2023 F-series?
Feature Flags!!It's like I tell my devs, parameterize it! A
Another very important practice as well. And now that you mention it this is more like feature flags than parameterization. Good call ?Feature Flags!!
Man that would be amazing if it worked. I really don't care much for the knob (though I honestly don't change modes much either)I did try several other things like adding Drive Modes to the Features screen and while they did display and would react to the selection of the Drive Mode physical knob, the individual drive mode couldn't be chosen with a tap on the screen. Anyways, now that the weather is cooling off here I will get out in the truck more to experiment and will post anything interesting that is found.
No worries!Yeah I see now this boot animation is from the Lightning; sorry for posting like it was something not seen before but I truly hadn't seen it.
Interesting. Is that something that has to be enabled with Forscan? Because I don't remember mine looking quite like that. It's the Unreal Engine that renders Sync4 with extraordinary depth and fresh theme. (so in a way of speaking, those video game driven technologies are improving Sync4)

Yes. A Forscan edit. Perhaps the easiest edit ever with a simple "1" entered into a string, if memory serves. Although my old man memory doesn't remember which line.Interesting. Is that something that has to be enabled with Forscan? Because I don't remember mine looking quite like that.
Also since it's powered by Unreal, has anyone figured out how to play Doom on it yet?![]()
I found a couple of things today experimenting with APIM after my Sync 22228 update using the Unreal theme (7D0-02-03 xxxx xxx1 xx--). Make sure to reset Apim in FORScan (wrench tool) after changes.
