No lift, level, lower, heavy load in bed, wheels/tires. All stock running gear. Went to magnum trailers (much closer than the boat) and tried hitch assist on 2 different trailers. 4 total attempts. Each time the truck ended up a couple of inches left of the trailer. Close but no cigar. If you changed anything (lift, level, lower, heavy load in bed, wheels/tires) I'd think that the camera/IPMA calibration might need to be revisited also.
I am wondering if some calibration is also required? I know that when the screen switches to brackets.. the hitch IS NOT in the center of the bracket. Or maybe hitch assist is marketing baloney and it doesn't work in general! Since nobody has posted on this working and I know we have 2022 and 2023s running around. And oddly, not even a search Youtube or Ford web finds anything.. the closest thing is dynamic hitch assist which is really the rear camera helping you see how to turn the wheel.

Thinking about it.. I am going to get within 5 feet and then try again.. maybe the camera isn't seeing the hitch clearly at a distance. But I suspect some sort of alignment or calibration issue.
