2.7.4 Update

I just noticed after 4.2.1 my channel presets don’t hold and the channel selection flickers after 2 years of flawless operation. Just got 4.2.2 this morning. Can’t wait to see what got screwed up after that. Would like to shut down the updates as well.

I now have a black screen after start up for about 30 seconds after receiving 4.2.2 this morning. Unreal!

Do you eventually get a trial expiration on the Ford Pass app? The Sync screen is showing 10/9/2073.

When I dropped the truck off yesterday the service advisor said that this was the first truck that they were going to do. Not a real confidence boost! When she called today to say that it was ready, I asked her if they had any problems and she said no, everything went smoothly. When I picked it up, she was at lunch so I didn’t get a chance to talk to her. When I got home I looked at the service print out and discovered that they had also taken care of the sagging insulation recall.

BTW, I received 4.2.4 yesterday., but skipped (?) 4.2.3. I wonder what happened to 4.2.3? Did someone lose count? These updates and the issues we're all having could be one or several long skits for SNL.

It most likely installed and you never got the notification. I have seen that happen several times.

Wait, so the dealer was able to activate BC even though your truck skipped over the updates via OTA? Or am I mixing you up with someone else? If so, that is REALLY good news!

Oh. Based on previous messages by others, I was led to believe the update was skipped. I guess I'll know once I receive my Mongoose.

I can check PTS with your VIN, but these updates are not one of the ones being skipped over. It's the older update that 2021 owners are missing that are getting skipped over.

It’s been a very frustrating process. I’m looking forward to our next trip to Salt Lake on I-80.
I forgot to try the lane change to see if they updated my truck to Bluecruise 1.2.
Are you taking your truck in to see if the dealer can get it updated?

FWIW when Apple refused the FBI access into the San Bernardino terrorists cell phone it was some kid that came up with the work around that led the FBI into the phone to gather more info...
With that said, what I'm trying to say, is I would trust some of these "non professional" guys on this board, than some of the "professional" Ford Techs...
