Putting it here since nobody else really cares: I continue to very frustrated with this process. Truck has been on a train for days now and estimated arrival time just gets postponed every day by 24 hours. How can a company like ford allow a vendor to not provide accurate updates. The rail company is transporting millions of dollars of ford assets and they don’t know where it is.

“I’m want my truck dammit”, he said with a petulant and childlike tone, to which FMC just laughed and laughed and laughed.
Two things: logistics are hard (just ask the Army) and rail shipping is a little more convoluted than over road.

My truck is sitting outside Pittsburgh right now. I bet it doesn’t start toward Philadelphia area until tomorrow or Friday. It’s going to take the Horshoe Curve before I do!

deep down I know you are correct. I refuse to acknowledge many facts with this process.

It’s just mindboggling how badly Ford is dealing with this process. Most of us solve problems for a living, everything we do is solving problems, answering questions, making things better, improving things, measuring things. Surely ford has to have people that care about this type of thing. My ELT beat me over the head weekly with questions over my teams’ improvement metrics etc.

I can echo this sentiment. Haha.
I have not had an update on mine since I received my eta from the customer service line. Convoy shipped to rail and no rail tracking. They said I can call back closer to the 22nd to see if eta is still accurate.

see if you can get a railcar number. They are trackable, although it might just cause more anxiety, if you know you should be able to track it but you struggle to make sense of what you are able to get. (Talking from first hand experience)

Man, this thread really slowed down. I feel like our collective moral is pretty low right now (and rightly so). Maybe this picture of a fat construction worker will cheer some of you up.

What are you using for tracking the railcar progress?

Ford Chat can give you the railcar number. With that you can either track it in CSX or NR. You'll just be able to track it to the last rail yard, when it moves onto a truck/convoy again you loose visibility, but at least you know that is the last leg of the journey.

I just did a chat with ford and they said "I do see your F-150 in transit at Ramp 59, Dearborn Truck, MI until July 2". They then gave me my railcar number of TTGX695226. Can anyone decode this for me? This is all over my head. lol. I tried calling into CSX, but got some message saying the railcar was empty and in Quebec Canada. Doesn't sound correct, but maybe is??

Sorry, what is NR?

i feel your pain. It’s incredibly frustrating, six months later and hundreds of posts and many many many hours later, we are so close yet still so far.
To be fair, deep down I always expected mine to come mid to late June, so from the beginnings I was preparing myself for this timeframe.
My june 1st-7th just turned into june 18th-24th per today’s email.

Lol well Norfolk says my rail car is in California, and CSX says it's in Alabama. I'm guessing it's neither
I had a similar issue. Mine was shipped through BNSF, they don't have a way to track. A few people recommended CSX and NS anyways. One said the last update was in January, the other said it shipped a day before my truck was even built.

Yeah, mine is Canadian National so I'm guessing the tracking is not going to work. Bummer
