Today Ford approved replacement of the entire transmission assembly. No idea what the part is worth, but it is 10 hours labour.
The dealer says provided the part comes when it should, I'll get my truck back Friday!
Credit to Ford for paying for a MASSIVELY costly repair given the lack of parts.
Into week 4 now.
My dealer has applied to replace the entire transmission. I don't really understand why that would resolve the issue with this part number, but if it's approved... I also don't care.
Ford Corporate is involved and confirmed the part will not be available for the foreseeable future. They have no further offers or suggestions. Very indifferent.

The dealer diagnosed it as L1MZ-7P086-B, but the part is backordered with no ETA. They said that usually means I can expect 8 weeks or...
Got my truck on June 27. No fuss, no last minute dealer bs. Good experience.
Not sure why Ford still offers 1.99% interest rates given these trucks are in so much demand, but I'll take it.
Does anyone know if our trucks would, by default, be totally up to date software wise? At least as of our...
Well colour me surprised! My dealer updated me, my truck rolled into the local railyard today. They said 5-10 days for them to unload it and bring it to their place.
Not bad speed to Western Canada - and bang on Ford's ETA if it all pans out
