If the chip hold takes us out for 5 months straight I will never purchase a new Ford vehicle. This is coming from a long line of automotive family workers. Ford has always been a big deal in my life. If for not the Norfolk plant closing I probably would have been working there too. I won't give it a second thought.

Decided to chat with Ford again and they confirmed the worst, my truck is on a chip hold as well, and has a delivery date of October 25th. I just sold my old truck (prematurely I guess) since the process moved faster than I thought. I guess that bit me in the ass lol.
I just got the email saying my truck has been built - also showing a delivery date of early to mid October to the dealer in NH.

Glad I was waiting for a shipping date to sell my truck. Hopefully the used market stay's pretty good...

Am I the only one with the Shipped notice? And now I'm worried that "shipped" and ASN status pending is about as useful as "Built" with an October delivery date.
I really thought this whole crew was in the final stretch.

2022 F-150 XLT PowerBoost; 1/27/22 Order Date (Granger) 5/14 W/S Blend Date (Dearborn); 5/15 Build Date. Dealer confirmed that it shipped to Kansas City today (convoy) and expects delivery between 6/5-6/11.

EDIT: Also, no emails from Ford confirming Built or Shipped status yet; Order Tracker indicated “Shipped” around mid-day today, but then reverted back to “In Production” when I refreshed the page, which prompted my call to the dealer. Per W/S, build was later in the day, closer to 1781. Not sure if it’s normal to route from Dearborn to Des Moines via KC, or if there even is a normal, but I’m rolling with the dealer’s info.
I'm also waiting for an XLT Powerboost and got stuck in the October wave. Same blend date as well, got the built email at 4am this morning (5/17)

Whats the best way to get a status update and figure out if there's a hold?

I received a built email that projected a June 22-28 delivery. Ordertrack updated to “awaiting shipment status” but no movement at all on shipping info still.

Am I correct in understanding that many here got to this point (built, delivery within about a month), only to be told a few days later that they’re on hold? That’s what I’m preparing to hear by the end of the week.

I received the “Built” email at about 3AM this morning, and then the “Shipped” email about 50 minutes later. Order Tracker is now updated to match the dates shown in the email, which are exactly what the dealer told me this afternoon. The only thing that gives me pause is the route from Dearborn via KC, but now that three sources have agreed as to the estimated delivery date, I’m going to think positively and assume all is well.

Not sure about that. I think a few of us recieved built emails while on a short hold, and Ordertrack still showed in production, same with Ford tracker. For me at least, by the time it showed built in the Ford tracker and awaiting shipment on the ordertrack app my dealer was able to confirm there were no longer holds.

Ford tracker and ordertrack still show in production. Ford chat says ETA to my dealer as 6/11/22 and dealer confirmed the same last we spoke. Plan to reach out today to them. This was a company vehicle purchase for some tax purposes and I wont be waiting till October if thats what I get told

I just got the same email, built with the October delivery date. I wonder why that would even bother to say it’s been completely built if it’s on a hold?

Got the Built email this morning around 4:32am with delivery to my dealer September 28 - October 4. Order Tracker says Awaiting Shipping with ASN as status. Ford Tracker shows yesterday's date (5/16) as Built date.

This is after Ford Chat told me yesterday 6/1 - 6/7.

Gonna let it ride a few days and call my dealer to see what they are showing.

I don't have any faith that my ETA that came with my built email will hold. Another thread had guys posting that they recievded a shipped email with an ETA of August. Why would it take 3 months to ship? And if it's not actually shipped why has it been marked as shipped? The lack of communication from FORD may be the most frustrating thing about this whole ordeal

Thank you for that correction. I’m still not holding my breath because all of the misfortune shared ITT the last 48 hours or so. But I will contact the dealer today and see what they say and let things shake out a bit and see if I’m still projected to take delivery by end of June. I might just somehow have escaped the hold? Seems too good to be true.

Yeah the hold is one thing, but when guys are getting shipped emails with deliveries in August and September....that tells me there is more going on

Emailed my dealer this AM - I know I haven't been waiting as long as some of you, but October seems so far away :(

Confirmed by Ford Chat just now.... "Congratulations the truck is in production with a completion date of September 27th!"

WOW thanks Keith .... odd flex

Time to just find a lot truck. I will be scouring all the dealers in the midwest and asking if they will sell a lot truck for A-plan. I'm sure I'll be stuck waiting 4-5 months.

Got some new info from Keith tho! there is a new Vehicle order team apparently.... "This is the current estimated preliminary date. However for the most detailed and updated information I would reach out to the Ford dealer on this. If the Ford dealer is unable to provide the latest information you may also reach out to our new Ford vehicle order team here (800) 334-4375. They are available during these hours 8:00AM-8:00PM EST (Monday-Friday)! "

RIP to that phone line
