Well, my truck arrived! Sadly, I ended up buying something else in the meantime, but here’s some pictures. It was tempting to trade in my recent purchase for it. Congrats to you guys with your new F-150s, they’re beautiful!
I feel your frustration. I actually bought another truck already, then found out my F150 is coming in June. So I’m not sure what I’ll do. Loving the truck I bought, so I might just get my deposit back on the Ford.
That’s exactly what happened to mine, my dealer said there’s a chip hold still but it’s in transit. I just chatted with Ford and they provided me with a rail car # and it claiming there’s no chip hold anymore.
Called Ford marketing today and they said my truck is on track now for a delivery of June 21st (was October 25th yesterday). Apparently it has left Dearborn and is heading to another plant for a chip? Then making it’s way to the dealer. Has anyone heard of this happening? Not sure if I believe...
I just got the same email, built with the October delivery date. I wonder why that would even bother to say it’s been completely built if it’s on a hold?
I told my dealer about the October 25th date, and they did in fact confirm it to be true. They were really surprised and didn’t really know what to do. I told them I’m not willing to buy a truck that’s going to sit in a lot for 6 months collecting dust. I have a hell of an opportunity for a 6...
I ordered an STX with a 3.5, and the FX4 package. Part of the reason I ordered this trim and not an XLT was because I figured it’s a pretty basic truck, so it should just go through without a chip hold, since this truck doesn’t tons of options. My blend date was 5/13, activate button is there on...
Yeah, I’m pissed to say the least. I’m calling the dealer now to see if they can give some more detail as to what’s going on. If this really is my delivery date, I may just buy a used 18+ 3.5. Just not sure it’s worth the wait
Decided to chat with Ford again and they confirmed the worst, my truck is on a chip hold as well, and has a delivery date of October 25th. I just sold my old truck (prematurely I guess) since the process moved faster than I thought. I guess that bit me in the ass lol.
I just chatted with Ford, they’re saying there’s no chip hold for my truck (Dearborn), and even though it is in production with modules populated I still have a completed build date of June 21-27. No sure why it’s going to take 5 weeks to build if there’s no chip hold….
I don’t wanna get my hopes up so I figured I would ask here. This is the holy grail “activate” button that’s a good sign? Also, I now see a long line of modules under “BCE” but nothing under PCM, hopefully that’s all normal and not a hold? My blend date was 5/13.
Once you enter your VIN into ordertrack.app, click on Modules, it’ll take you to a new website where you put your VIN again, then it’ll show my screenshot.
My modules are still not showing, really hoping that guy isn’t right about the 8” screen hold.
Just saw a post in the 2021+ F250 facebook group that any trucks with the 8” screen (like my STX) has been kicked back because of a chip hold. Post was from yesterday which was my blend date.
Are the modules supposed to show up in list form? When I use the orderapp.track, it shows something that needs to be downloaded, but I can't open it. Then it says "end of information" G.
Awesome build! Do you plan on color matching the tailgate handle? Once my truck is in, I plan on color matching the doors, but not sure about tailgate/if there’s an aftermarket site for it.
