Still showing in production. Delivery date bumped to 5/18. It sucks, but it is what it is. They can't exactly make the chips materialize out of thin air. I'll venture that they're guessing at the dates as much as we are with the instability of everything. I'm just going to take it with a grain of salt for now.

Maybe it gives some of us a chance to get a better PCO or just to get one between now and then if you haven't. Unfortunately, I don't think the incentive and financing deals will get any better between now and then.

Are the new dates reflected in the online tracker or do I need to check with my dealer to get the bad news?
I've been editing the spreadsheet in Post #518 above as I get the updates. I was wondering if I may have missed an update from you. I currently have your ETA as 2/18.

Just got bumped from 2/25 to 5/26. I’m going to stay optimistic and think that they are giving a worst case scenario. GM said on their earnings call that supply shortages showed signs of easing; assuming that is the case for Ford as well.

https://www.cnbc.com/2022/02/01/general-motors-gm-earnings-q4-2021.html
It's really very simple. Ford doesn't want to lose money or production time. Ford will continue to build what they can and when the chips come in they will Ship the trucks out a fast as possible. Remember, the dealers ordered trucks too and they are in the same boat. The article is clear, the chip shortage will continue, but not as bad as last year.

You're now the sixth person today. It doesn't appear you're eligible for those promotions because they were specifically targeting folks whose order were converted from 2021 to 2002. However, you might be eligible for other promotions.
I'm one of the people who had a MY21 order (0901) "Balance Out" , Ford talk for MY21 orders that couldn't be built in 2021. The dealer put in a MY22 order (1122) on 11/22/2021.

I find this whole fiasco ironic. Ford stated that custom builds would not be scheduled until ALL the elements needed to complete the build were in stock at the facility. Only then would the build week be scheduled and the vehicle built.

So what happened to that? Given that they would not schedule a build until all elements required to complete the build were in stock at the facility prior to scheduling and build, a massive number of chips must have been defective, resulting in large numbers of vehicle builds failing final inspection...

OR Ford lied

Hmmm... which one seems more plausible to me...

I'd rather have a truck that's built and waiting on a chip than to have the entire truck waiting for the chip to arrive before they start building it. Plus, I can only imagine the logistics, further delays, and price increases if they shut the line down every time there was a shortage of a part that is able to be easily installed after the fact.

Now it does bother me that when they do get chips, trucks that are currently in production will likely get priority for those chips. I understand why, but it still bothers me a little.

Good morning, Here are the latest updates. I removed the Chip Hold column since it seems no one is affected by that. It appears all of our 4/30 and 5/1 delivery ETAs have reverted back to Feb dates. Haven't seen any updates from @coloradobrandon @Dan66 @Funke5.0 or @Spacewhitev8 lately. @Jimbo@007it - any update on delivery ETA? Have a great day!

Sorry for the delay. Build date slipped to 1/30 and then 1/31 Production. Initial delivery estimate was 2/22, but then appears to have jumped to 5/22 this afternoon. Blend date was 1/30. Convoy transport. This is all off the Ford website tracker. I’m waiting to hear from the dealer on more detailed status, but assuming it is a chip hold as with so many others. Hoping the date pulls back in!

Tracker is still showing 2/18...I think it's because I haven't called anyone to ask about it!

I think that was the story line to keep stocks up until the exec's got a chance to exercise and sell some of their stock options. ?

I haven't even checked mine on the Ford tracker. Will do so after I get my first cup of ☕

Hmmm, I hadn't thought about this angle ? Could explode into a huge scandal if that were the case!

I both agree and disagree. They should have all the parts in advance. If you have all the parts needed to build the truck their wouldn’t be this problem. Instead, a partially built truck will be sitting in some obscure lot for many months waiting for a few items. If I knew it would take this long to get my truck I would have held onto my old truck longer or looked for another one elsewhere. Instead, many of us traded a vehicle in advance of the build for an agreed price and we’re told production was ramping up and you’d have a 6 to 8 week wait. If this goes to May I’ll have waited 10 months.
Ford is greedy and wants your money, so they keep building partially completed trucks knowing your locked in and have no choice but to wait.
I too believe that when the chips arrive they will go into trucks currently in production and those chips they currently have are going into orders by dealerships to be sold on their lots now. It’s less productive for them to pull a vehicle from a lot somewhere on or off site, potentially tow it to a production area (if necessary) and complete it. Those vehicles on a chip hold most likely are not a priority to them.

Thanks for circling back around with us. It seems our other Sunday builds were also pushed off until Monday. I'll update and post a new spreadsheet later this morning after I check mine.

Here are the latest updates. We were slammed yesterday with about 10 or 11 three-month delays on Delivery ETAs - my own included according to the Ford tracker. I'll reach out to my dealer and ask for a VVR screenshot to verify if I'm on a chip hold, although it would certainly seem to be the case. Let us know if anyone is advised of also being on chip hold.
