I have 35K on the factory Goodyears and they are wearing evenly. I would check the alignment. Only time I have had your issue it was alignment

I’m with you. As an engineer I just don’t understand the emphasis on appearances.
I don’t buy your thought process on this whatsoever.
Would you marry a beauty queen or you marry a swamp troll?
To many people, parents has a huge factor in anything. It could be a tire, it could be a truck, it could be a wife, a house, or birthday cake.

You can’t downplay and dismiss someone’s feelings on the appearance of a product versus another product

What does marriage or birthday cakes or parental lineage have to do with tires on a truck?

Sure I can. I just did! j/k!
Seriously though, I neither downplayed nor dismissed anyone's feelings - I just said I don't understand it. No need to be thinskinned about it ... we're talking about trucks, eh?

Oh, I’m not being thin skin I could give a shit less what your opinion is or anybody else here about what tires I decide to run I really don’t care.

All I’m saying is you highlighted the point that you’re an engineer, ooh oh wow. You dismiss the that people buy shit, marry women, buy cars all based upon appearance. Yet you bust somebody’s balls for choosing tires based upon appearance.

I find that kind of odd behavior coming from a engineer

>> I busted NOBODY'S balls! That's not my style. I simply said, (quote) I don't understand it (unquote). There's no way that could be construed as "busing someon's balls".

I find that kind of odd behavior coming from a engineer

>> seems to me that its likely that you don't understand engineers who in my experience tend to value function over form. Which was my only point.
Why are you continuing to pick at this? Aren't there more important things to worry over?

Because I didn’t agree with your bullshit statement. One can ask the same damn thing of you.

Engineers are usually data driven in their decisions. Emotions and feelings are usually not used to make a decision or a statement. I just find that odd shit.

I'm sure I will be one of those guys that could be considered nuts. I bought the Michelin LTX MS 2's 3 weeks ago based on everything I have read. They are great tires, however, I think they look like bus or 18 wheeler tires and hate them based on looks. Yes, I saw pics but now that I have them I want to change them but am stuck unless I can sell them at a loss. I want a more exciting looking tire but also know I'll be sacrificing noise and ride with an all terrain that looks good.

Too bad I can't test drive and send back if I don't like them.

I also want bigger ones since I got a 2.5 level and Ready Lify UCA's.

Anyone else ever feel like that?
Are you on 18s or 20s? The sidewall would be extra plain on 18s

I started with 275/60r20 Continental Terrain Contact HT, but even after replacing one they just weren't super smooth. Some days I just had a vibration on the highway. Discount is amazing and swapped them for Michelin Defender ms2 275/60r20 and they're oh so smooth.

I liked the look of the Continental a lot more, especially with the rim guard lip. But I won't go back. I've got more important things to worry about than a cool looking sidewall. These have amazing traction dry and wet and are super smooth. Hopefully they perform in the winter too

I replaced Hankooks with Conti HTs. in 70,000 miles the tires were never in balance, and that after one was replaced as defective. However, the Contis looked good, rode well and were quiet. Dry traction was excellent, and wet traction was exceptional. Did unexpectedly well in snow, too in light of the ribbed and block tread.
So I figured I got a bad batch and bought four more HTs. Same excellent performance, same balance problem. Road force and rotating tires on rims helped, but after 10,000 miles I paid a pro-rated swap for Michelins. Visually smaller, lower tread depth, fairly quiet, decent ride but now my PB can chirp tires in the dry, and watch out in the wet! There is less lateral traction, but straight-line I can easily spin the rears in 2H, and braking is longer and where ABS almost never kicked in with the Contis, the Michelins do. But they balance.
I don't understand why the Contis would not balance, and Discount Tire did a major effort to cure the problem albeit with no success. But I think they are the better tire, as borne out by Tire Rack's testing for wet traction, and
I will probably try them again. Third times the charm?
