If Ford called you tomorrow asking for one design change… what are you telling them

Let’s pretend you’re sitting in Dearborn with the design team what’s your pitch?
For me, it’d be factory-level support for custom drive modes. Would love to fine-tune throttle and steering feel myself.
So what’s your idea? Doesn’t have to be realistic — just something that would make your truck perfect for you

So the climate controls are mostly good, except for the vent controls. I have to hit a button, so that a menu pops up on the screen to select it. Just give the button the ability to cycle through the options. I hate having to do anything on the touch screen while driving.

On that note, they could take the steering wheel controls just a tiny bit further, and give you the ability to select stuff on the screen with directional buttons. Having to do anything at all on the touch screen while driving is clumsy and dangerous.

Back when I was in college, I had an Alpine unit in my car that had a little remote control, and to this day that's my preferred way to control a stereo/menu interface in a car.

I really dislike how that mpg screen goes from 0-40mpg. Ain't nobody getting anywhere NEAR 40 mpg in these things!
More powerful hybrid system.
Flex fuel from the factory is an obvious one.

How about the ability to take a RCSB truck to KR trim level. Sure would be nice to have all of the cameras, lights, and extra options on these trucks from the factory, and not have to add them in parts and pieces at a time.

Simplify your lineup, reduce the number of unique parts, and invest in a higher level of quality for those components.

I'd rather less features for a rock solid truck. Ford would easily make their money back on reduced warranty costs.

100%! Nothing breaks focus faster than poking at a screen while driving. The old-school button layouts just worked.

That Alpine remote throwback is awesome though funny how stuff from decades ago still makes more sense than some of today’s “modern” interfaces 😂

A mute button for whoever is in the passenger seat... I would have also liked a digital rearview mirror option from the factory
Haha Ford could make a fortune with that option call it the “Peace & Quiet Package.” 😆
And yeah, the digital mirror would’ve been such a slick add-on from the factory.

For the Powerboost system, swap in the 2.7, increase electric to 100 HP, and increase battery by 200%.
Now that’s an interesting combo! A lighter 2.7 paired with a beefier hybrid setup could be a killer balance of power and efficiency.
Wonder how that would stack up against the 3.5 PowerBoost in real-world towing and MPG?
