How long did it take them to do it?Same just got it, got the brake recall performed just a few days ago. This could’ve been a simple OTA update rather than a dealer upgrade
Like 30 minutes they sent a tech to my houseHow long did it take them to do it?
I was just in today and I was there for about 2.5 hours to do both. They would have picked up and dropped off, but I prefer to just take it in and wait. They will pick up just for oil changes too. Sounds like you might want to look for a new dealer if you have options.Apparently the dealership where I bought the truck does not have a mobile service. I called about the TWO recalls and they said I would have to leave my truck there FOR THE DAY.
This is bullshit. What if I just do nothing?
That’s a real bummer that you can’t get mobile service in your area. It’s so convenient. I’m really happy that Ford is offering this. Hopefully you’ll get it too at some poin.So far I've seen posts from Iowa, Michigan and Texas F-150 owners that all say the dealership made the software fixes with a mobile tech who came to the house. Apparently this is not the case in New Jersey. I have contacted 2 different dealerships including the one I bought the truck from 3 months ago and they don't offer mobile service OR pick-up and drop-off service for these factory recalls.
Anybody from Jersey getting this done without leaving it at the dealership or is it just me?
I had a wiper motor recall on my former ‘22 and I never had it fixed. I drove it for 3 years without issue. I took my chances. The local Ford dealers in my area do offer mobile service but only for a selected list of things. And, for some odd reason, factory recalls are not a priority. They insist on bringing the truck in and leaving it there.
Since my truck is not acting up, maybe I'll just ignore the recalls?
I am in Edison and Malouf Ford is coming to my home this week for the dash update. So far I've seen posts from Iowa, Michigan and Texas F-150 owners that all say the dealership made the software fixes with a mobile tech who came to the house.
