Livernois Tune Update.

Livernois initially claimed Ford wouldn't be able to tell with theirs. I don't know if that was due to the way the tunes needed to be flashed at first or not. Looking through PIDs with Forscan, I couldn't find anything about key turns, but there was a counter for how many times the truck had been started, or how many times the starter had run, or something along those lines, and it was still showing in the thousands, even though I had just swapped the tune.

For what it's worth, Livernois creates and supports the various Ford Performance tunes. They work directly with Ford and have been partnered with Ford since the 80s.

Just another reason why they lead the way with Ford tunes. I have mine , chomping at the bit to put it all in ....but I also have a sneaky suspicion that my fiance is going to get me the exhaust system for my upcoming birthday.

I had a 2017 F150 3.5 with a livernois tune. Engine ended up spinning a bearing atleast thats what I assumed. Flashed it to stock before towing it to the dealer and they never said anything and replaced the engine under warranty. Looking forward to tuning my 21 5.0 mainly for the transmission tune lol.

Drop a hint that their intercooler will give bigger gains than the exhaust, or that they both go hand in hand.

Just uploaded the 91/93 tune yesterday, very happy with it. There is a delay in the eboost tune for the 24/25 MY, so it'll be like 2 Christmases when you're a kid of divorced parents, .

Instant throttle response, can actually peg the boost gauge, transmission shifts are crisp and quick, sport mode is very fun.

Thats very unusual for Livernois to take that long. Did you try reaching out to them. I had my tune files back in less than 24 hrs. The longest I have personally heard it taking was 48 hours. I'm not sure if they work on weekends or not. I would send them an email or call them. Maybe they are backed up with the new platforms becoming tunable.

Mine took just shy of 5 days not counting the weekend , called them on a Friday , had them by the next Thursday. He did say it could take up to 10 days, not that you are impatient or anything

I submitted mine on a Wednesday, and got it on the following Saturday. I think they're just slammed at the moment. I'm still patiently waiting for the E-boost to be uploaded. No eta when that is supposed to be. 2024+ they haven't perfected yet apparently.

That is exactly what the tech guy said...." We're in a new software rollout so it could take longer....he also spoke of a non-Ford vehicle that people were bringing their tuners straight to the shop.

My truck is out of warranty. I do have to take it in eventually for the fuel pump recall that's in process but I don't see why computer would need work until then and that's still a maybe. I'm not sure ota updates would affect the tune, but maybe someone else can chime in.

If you get a PCM update via OTA, it will wipe the tune and return it to stock. The tuner will need to make an updated tune with the new strategy so you can reflash it.
