If the test procedure was a steady run under load, I might be willing to let the recall procedure be done on my truck. But that would require a dyno at the dealership. Not likely available, but would be a much safer procedure.In NC. This was done at a major dealer with numerous locations in NC. They contacted him for a recall and he went in to address the recall and they did this "test". I wish he would have called me before... This would indicate they are doing this in USA.
No way am I going to let Ford treat my truck far more harshly than I would myself. The procedure, as you described, should VOID your warranty in a sane world.
