I never bothered with the rear wiring harness because they announced the engine issue and I've been waiting to get it all done in one trip.

No notice of anything in mail, but now on Ford Pass it says to schedule visit with dealer or they can visit on site.

My guess is they just check the engine hours and call it "good" then do nothing?

Mine isn't showing in Ford Pass yet. Reverse camera recall does, but not this one..

Well the initial thought reading the original info on it was they would rev the hell out of motor and see if it blows up simulating usage. Or just check engine hours since all the failures were fairly low miles on the engine. I'm over 50k now and running great so I don't expect any issues running up to 200k and moving on to my next truck.

Rear backup camera recall applies to all models. Was it that one?

No it's still 24S55, but now it's dated June 10th. im not 100% sure what changed just looking at it. moved to the top of the list in Alldata

edit: the number of affected is at 91,093 now, so I guess they identified a few hundred other affected vehicles?

I finally received the official paperwork in mail for the "fix." It says dealer will need the truck for at least half a day. Makes me think they will do as I suspected and rev the hell out of it to see if it goes boom. ?
Really no idea without getting into Ford service information to look up process.

My dad took his 21 2.7 in for the recall today and they set it to run at 4,000rpm for an hour sitting in the parking lot in 95+ degree heat. He says it stinks of "hot/burning electronics" inside now and that it shakes pretty violently at idle. I'm pretty pissed about it finding out afterwards. Seems like this causes way more harm than good. Anyone else have any adverse effects from the "recall"?

But how was this performed already? It's not released in USA yet. Are you in Canada?

In NC. This was done at a major dealer with numerous locations in NC. They contacted him for a recall and he went in to address the recall and they did this "test". I wish he would have called me before... This would indicate they are doing this in USA.
