Has Ford found a fix to the 10 Speed transmission shudder/vibration issue? My 3.5L Ecoboost is 6 months old and has been back to the dealer 2 times. Both times they said they road force balanced the wheels and said it's fine. I told the service manager it isn't. Starting at 62 mph and up it's like sitting on a washing machine in the spin cycle. When you let up on the gas pedal, it calms down. Runs fine when first started and in and around town. Once you get to highway speeds with trans temp at 183°+, the trouble begins. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

tell them to have a manager/technician ride along with you. so you can demonstrate the said issues.

I wonder if you have a defective u-joint (s) and/or driveshaft is out of balance. Just throwing thoughts out there.

Good logic.. I did just that and the Svc Mgr said it's normal and declined. He would not further than a few miles from the dealership, not on the highway.

I believe that is the issue if not the transmission itself. Dealer said they checked it but I don't believe it. I saw my truck in the bay but never anyone checking the driveline. Maybe went I went for coffee in the 3 hours it was there when they road force balanced the tires? May have to go to an independent shop for a 2nd opinion.. Thanks for your input.

Good luck with getting this solved. I know working with the dealership on these types of issues is sometimes a real PITA.

I was thinking about that and was not sure if another dealer would send me back to selling dealer. Not sure how they get paid from Ford. But I agree.. Getting poor service no matter how much I push gets me nowhere. Thanks for your advice.

you can take your truck to any ford dealership in the USA as long as your factory warranty is still valid.

Good info. I will call to make an appointment when they are open on Monday. I will post again when the issue is addressed.
Thanks again.

It’s the next time you’re driving and you get up to your 62 mile an hour, do this.

Downshift the transmission the eighth gear. Hold your speed at where this normally does the shutter or vibration whatever you wanna call it.

See what happens
