No PPOB or zone lighting for iOS 5.22.0 but they did add the owner's manual link back... :cautious:

At least these still work on my old Android with 4.37.0 that I side loaded back when Ford dumped the steaming pile of v5 on us. It pesters you that you need to update the app but can click the back button and all the features work perfectly. So they are just continuing to drag their feet on adding them back in v5.

:) I'm on board with that. Now that I'm thinking it over more, having the Ecoflow for primary use makes more sense anyway. I only need 120V @ 30A service which this can easily handle. Occasional coffee brewing, microwave, and AC if the need arises for short periods.

I was planning out a rebuild of my trailer's electrical system to add some LifePO4 batteries, inverter, the whole 9 yards.

But then I got the new truck and that's where my money will be tied up, so I'll put that battery upgrade on the back burner. But in a way, having the new truck also helps out in other ways so it's definitely a net win.

I'm really looking forwards to getting the new truck delivered, still about 2 weeks out. It's a big upgrade to my current '99 F350 and a '04 Tundra. The built in generator on the F150 was one of my "must have" items.

I already ordered the L14-30 to TT30 adapter so I can hook my trailer up directly. It's amazing that I can do that and still have another 30A on the other half of that split phase for something else. I'll charge my inlaws a nominal fee so they can recharge their devices. :D
Does quiet time in your campgrounds mean no vehicles are allowed to run? I have never heard of that. The stock PB is pretty quiet. Don't think anyone would be complaining about it running.

Depends on the RV/camp grounds but compared to a normal gas generator, the PB is on par with Honda’s "Super Quiet generators" which only produce around 48-50db under load. Plus since it's acting as a generator most places probably won't say anything about it.

I'm convinced that Ford's app dev team operates like a ragtag troop of semi-evolved simians—prone to chaotic screeches, baffling antics, and the occasional accidental breakthrough—barely managing to claw their way through the simplest tasks while leaving a trail of digital banana peels in their wake

It depends... and that's a good question. How loud is too loud? :) It's a National Forest site and there's a mix of RV and tent campers, and it's those tent campers that I try to be aware of (especially since my inlaws are part of that group) :)

My Honda EU2000i is "quiet" but also not quiet. Now that I have my new truck with the PPOB, my plan is to bring along my Ecoflow Delta Pro 3 and plug into that (it has a TT-30 outlet built in which is nice). Plug the DP3 into the truck to recharge as needed. I'll also have the solar panels to help but it's kind of a shady area.

Admittedly, being able to control PPOB from the Fordpass app is a "nice to have" but not a "need to have", and where I camp, there's zero cell signal so if everything is cloud based anyway, wouldn't matter if it did have that ability. I guess I'll have to walk *all the way over* to the truck and do it myself, manually. LOL I hope I survive the journey. :D

Maybe I misunderstand how it works.
The way I get it to work is to start the truck and then go in the menu and turn on generator mode.
But then I have to exit the truck with the key and it will honk. Really not quiet.
Maybe I can lock with the keypad but leaving the truck running with the key in seems like a bad plan.

The double honk is easily fixable. Options are to leave the spare key fob in the truck when in generator mode and HVAC on speed 5 but at a warmer temp such as 75f to keep the interior from getting too hot and then locking it with the other fob. This will prevent the dreaded double honk but keep the 12v system output at 14.0v or higher and prevent the 12v batteries from being slowly depleted over time. You can also use Forscan to disable the double honk "feature" we all now and loathe all together and not have to worry with leaving a second fob in the truck.

This is another option. This will let you turn that feature on and off easily and anywhere. Not cheap but it does offer a lot of functionality if you are looking for this option.
