I have a 1993 F150 4X4 one family owner with $72,000 miles, never wrecked, never painted and looks brand new with minor chips and dings. Where is the best place to advertise something like this since it's worth more than just KBB or the likes?

Perhaps bring a trailer? I'm about to put my '68 chevelle on there to sell.

Pictures and how much you want?

Not financially able to buy it, but if I was, I'd be interested.

I believe bring a trailer does not like to do reserve auctions. They wanted to set mine low and not let me dictate the reserve, and since I wanted a higher reserve ($1,500) they would not list. I believe if it does not sell they have the "right" to buy it for that reserve. Call me suspicious.
Thank you for the post.

Hmm, I better check into that "right to buy" thing. If that's so, I wasn't aware of it.

I just checked, and I do not see anything giving them the right to buy it. However, if your truck is anything like you described it you are right to walk away. $1500 is not a high reserve at all for one of those trucks in really good shape.

I was going to list it at bring a trailer with a reserve of $15,000. Hagerty, who is selling soap, appraised it at $25,000. You can go to oldtruckbuyer.com and see more pictures

eBay, FB marketplace, there’s another very large F150 truck community that has F150 enthusiasts dating back to pre 1987, Craigslist is still around, Hemmings, Autotrader, I mean, there’s tons, I feel like bring a trailer definitely sees the most traffic these days, but I can understand the desire to avoid based on there policy.

There are “ways” to ensure you get a reserve price on “bring a trailer”, some might consider them dubious, but sometimes silly rules require silly actions.

What might those ways be? You can pm me if you don't want to say it publicly.

I'm in the same boat as you on this one. After seeing pictures I wouldn't be surprised if someone on here in a different financial situation were to make an offer.

I tried selling my previous truck privately and it was a frustrating experience, to put it lightly. I had it on eBay, Craigslist, a couple FB selling groups, and here in the selling section. eBay was the worst because I had 2 people run me through the process of going back and forth until agreeing to a price and when it came time to do the transaction there was always some new information revealed that made completing the sale a PITA, leading me to cancel the sale and waste weeks of time it could have been on the market. I avoid FB marketplace because every time I have listed something for sale there I get bombarded by scammers wasting my time.

One guy was only available on Saturdays but didn't let me know that until we went back and forth for 2 weeks trying to set a date to meet up. The next guy from Craigslist ghosted me when it came time to show up, the last guy lived in MS and was waiting for an estate to settle which can take months. After 4 months of all the BS I drove the truck to a local dealership and took a hit on the value just to get rid of it. Never again.

Good luck, hopefully you will have an easier time since those trucks are becoming classics and more in demand.

Thanks for the "encouragement!", exactly what I want to avoid and what I'm finding.

It won't help you because it's mostly for Central Illinois, but I've had great success selling stuff using a local booklet/magazine that comes out weekly. They have a website, but everyone around here picks up the book at the local gas stations.

Here's the website- https://wheelsanddealsonline.com/

If you search you can find my 05 XLT. At least it was still there last week. I sold it in April. I've never had a vehicle last longer than 2-3 weeks using it.

I just realized you have 240Z. I have a 69 2000 completely restored. Believe it or not the 2L will give a "stock" 71 240 a good run for the money if not beat it...
