I have a 2023 Tremor, and want to create a DIY bed divider. However, the bed only has the “grooves“ on one side (passenger). The driver’s side of the bed has the power outlet.

Has anyone tried creating one of these with only one side of groves?

Will it still work with only one side?

I’ve meassured, and it’s really close to 65” wide. I’m thinking about go with a 2x8, and putting some screw eyes along the top of it.

I bought a cheap-o adjustable bar from harbor freight.

Going to the hardware store this weekend. A 2x4 in boxlink etrack board holders and a piece of plywood with 2 rows of Etrack. Also going to attach it to the groove in the side of the bed somehow so it doesn't move.

I made mine with 2x4's mounted on the boxlinks.

Looks great.

I ended up buy a 2x8 board, cutting it to about 64 7/8, put 4 screw eyes across the top, and spraying it with some rattle can bed liner. Fits a little diagonally, in the grooves on the passenger side and then on the wheel well on the drivers side.

No way will I post a pic after seeing yours!!!! :)

My issue is that I use the cleats a lot, so I wanted to steer clear of taking them out for any sort of solution. I will try my janky set up for a while, and if it does the trick, great…if not, I may break down and buy something.

Why Ford deleted the grooves on the driver side is beyond me. There’s room for at least one channel next to the power outlet. I think for 2024s and 2025s the grooves are back.

Okay…..I lied. Here’s my janky set up. I HATE that it’s “crooked”. So dumb not to include the slots on both sides of the bed. Oh well, at least it was cheap…..

I already had a chance to use it today and it did great…..

I’m still thinking about making another one though. I’m thinking about making one that hooks into the box link cleats. So it would hang in the cleats and touch the bottom of the bed. I could see where it might rattle around a bit though.

I use the cleats quite a bit and don’t want to take them off and use the box link plates like shown above. That method is awesome but I would use the cleats more than even a divider.

The E-Track board holder is easily removed so you can still use your Ford cleats. While the E-Track cleats fit the Ford boxlink and will not fall out, they are a little loose. To tighten them up I added a small strip plate to my boxlinks to narrow the opening. This helps but means the Ford cleats will no longer fit, so I bought a couple E-Track cleats to use when needed.

If you zoom into the closeup photo below you can see the plate and hardware mounted to the inside of the boxlink.

I get that, but what I’m saying, is that I use the cleats a lot…not the box link bracket, but the actual cleat itself. And, I’m not wanting to take the cleat in and out and put a divider into the the box link bracket.

So far, my system is working okay. If I do another one, I will try and make something that just hooks into the cleat…but I’m wondering if that will sort of “swing” at the bottom or not.

Not that this is a great idea, but I am wondering if drilling the bed wall and installing some Aluminum c-channel is the way to go. Six inches of it right behind the wheel wells. Use aluminum pop rivets and sealant to prevent corrosion.

Of course this would only apply to 21-23.
