Bed divider

I see two channels opposite each other on the f150 bed which can take a 2x lumber to act as a bed separator. I also see other spots like this. Does it mean the 2x bed separator can be used at multiple spots? Any reference pictures of how you have done this will be helpful.

Ford sells a bed divider that fits into the boxlink brackets (if you have them, if not they are $35 or something, bolt in).
