Just taking off from a stop in wet weather would be my concern.

Trying to get out in heavy traffic from a stop and slipping a lot.

Nice looking tires ?
They should be significantly better than the old KO2 as the sipes are the full depth of the lug on the new KO3 and there are more of them, well according to BF Goodrich.

Was parked next to my dad today, he has KO2 275/65R20 on his F-250. I am thinking the KO3 may run a bit larger than the KO2 as mine definitely look wider and we cannot tell the height difference at all. (A 65 aspect ratio on a 275 should be slightly taller than a 285/60. The 285 on mine should be wider (which was observable) but slightly shorter (not observable). But the heights are about identical in real world.

Only other thing I could maybe chalk this up to is that his have some tread wear at this point brining the heights into even territory. End of the day the 285/60R20 definitely looks beefier than the KO2 275/65R20, the extra width of the 285 makes a decent visual impact of “rugedness” more so than the height of a 275/65 does. If you are looking for beef I would pass on the 275/65 and go for 285/60 like I did.

When I got my 2021, I wanted LT tires for towing durability. I debated 275/65 vs 285/60 and went with 285/60. While I got the Geolandar G015s and not BFGs, they've been great for the last three years and when I need to buy tires again, I'm sticking with the 285/60 again. They look really good in the wheel well of these gen 14s.

I've read that BFG's tend to run smaller than other mfg's in the same size, I wonder if they changed this with the KO3's?

They are on, I like them! Definitely a harsher ride compared to the stock Hankook Dynapro AT2’s that came off. Nice and quiet though. They look great. Slightly wider than the stockers (last photo).

I like them, certainly they will preform. I kept the Toyo AT3s on my last purchase as the KO3 did not have a black wall only option. I personally don't like the white lettering (even on the inside you can still see it). What is the mileage difference? The Toyo's are very light and the difference for me was almost nil.

Maybe you can help weigh in for me here... I'm interested in swapping out my stock Hankook's and had that Nitto RG's on the top.. But now I feel like I'm most leaning towards Falken Wildpeak AT3's for some reason... If you were to do it all again, would you stick with the Nitto's?

I have been thinking about getting these same tires. I am really curious about what they will do to your gas mileage. I put some Nitto Ridge Grapplers and Fuel wheels on my 2018 F150 without even thinking about gas mileage, I like the looks of them but lost about 4 miles to the gallon

Falken would likely have been my 2nd choice after the BFG KO3. The KO3 has a more aggressive appearance/presence than the Falken so I prefer the look better from the side on the BFG’s, that and the KO3 is supposed to offer 15% better wear than KO2 and the outer nubs seem to test better for moving mud. I paid $100 more per tire pioneering the new BFG KO3 path, the Falken Wildpeak would have been significantly cheaper and is a solid option. As always, use case and desired result is chief determining factor.

Edit: For those asking about fuel economy so far I have not noticed an appreciable difference. If that changes I will update.

The impact to fuel economy hasn’t been too bad, but I have now noticed a slight drop of about 0.5-1 MPG highway depending on the day. No biggie imo, going to a 10 ply Load Range E I expected a 2-3 mpg hit. So far at least highway it hasn’t been bad. I run them all at 40 psi, what’s everyone else running their load range E tires at?

They look fantastic! Unsprung weight though…gonna slow that hot rod down I’m afraid ?

Just have to start that Coyote roll from a higher speed! ?

This is impossible. Discount Tire told me that KO3s were unavailable when I bought a set of KO2s 3 weeks ago.

That’s why I switched them out under 500kms new truck, won’t know what to compare it to. :)

I’m on the crazy old school side of things. I love raised white letters. They are kind of getting harder to find. However, that will be one aspect. I will be looking for when I replace my factory Perelli’s.

Curious, how are they on wet roads? I have Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my 2018 Limited with about 20,000 miles on them. It has been raining off and on here in KC, and I have really noticed a traction issue especially when leaving stop lights. I have a nice fiberglass topper on it but the tires brake loose with minimal effort.
Have you driven in the rain yet?

They have done well in the rain so far, the stock Hankooks broke loose with any semi-serious throttle application on dry roads let alone wet ones. These seem much more planted.
